My Fh did tell his buddies a couple of days before he did it. The word went around and people were dying to tell me, lolol but they held it in until after

FH did ask my dad for my hand, even though we'd been living together already. he knew i wanted him to ask, but he's a gentleman like that, and would have done it anyway. not like my dad would have said no.

yes, and my dad was so excited that he told my sisters and mom the day before I got engaged and stole my thunder... so I couldn't even call them and be excited... I'm still bummed but I know he was just happy for me!

yup, he went over to my house while I was at work and showed them the ring asked my parents. He told them he was going to do it that night so they could take pics and video

Its OK , my parents knew it was coming, it was all good for them. My parents didnt mind at all.

He did! My FH proposed in France, and not only did he ask my mom first, he even bought an international cell phone to call her as soon as it happened! :) Sooo sweet!

yes he did. He told my mom when we ran into her at the library ( I am so clueless- he told me that he wanted to tell her what he got me for christmas. She told me that she had such a hard time keeping her excitement in. Then he went to ask my dad.

Yes he did. He lives in Ct and I was driving up there when he was here on LI waiting for my dad (who never goes out) to come home. I was waiting for him at a restaurant while he was late I was sooooooo mad at him until I knew the reason why

Yes he did. One night he came over to play cards with the whole family(we do it every friday and saturday night). He waited until everyone left. It was just my mom and dad(I was sleeping). He asked and after 9 years finally.
