What hall(s) do you think have the best food--

In other words... what wedding have you been to where you thought the food was to die for!

You know... the wedding you walked out of and said 'WOW'

I have to say Villa's food was amazing. A bit obnoxious though there was soooo much. I wanted to wrap all the leftover food and bring it to a shelter!
Of course this was frowned upon when mentioned.

I would say all the Scotto Brother Halls and Russo's on the Bay.

BriBri------I have been nervous since I read that post where a couple of people said the sauce was bad...or smelled funky...or something like that.

I was one of the people who mentioned that. I will let you know that other than that, I loved the food. My brother said the sauce smelled so horrid because of the mixture of onions and basil. Probably if you ask to hold one or the other, it would be fine.

Floral Terrace (or Sandcastle)for sure...my god I really hope people will eat their dinner because the cocktail is quite the production!!!

The food at the Fox Hollow was great at my brother's wedding.

Watermill has great food and so does Coral House.

The menu at Ariana Waterfall is great....gotta try the food soon!!!!!!!

I think Russo's on the Bay food is the best I've ever had at a catering hall.

We loooooved the food at a wedding we went to at Fox Hollow (one reason why we chose it!).

And I was blown away by the surf and turf at a wedding we went to recently at the Milleridge Cottage.

I'm not being biased when I say the Milleridge Cottage...it is the best food I've ever had at a wedding.

I agree - excellent food! Haven't had the wedding food at mine but the restaurant is one of my favorites, which is part of the reason we looked there.

My Mom is a Professional Musician and has eaten at ever major wedding facility in the tri-state area... the best for Long Island are:

villa lombardis
Russos on the bay
Carlyle
Carltun
Oheaka
She also said the Lessings places were good

I would have to say Russo's - not even because I got married there - but the food is really exceptional, plentiful and delicious!

I am voting for Villa's.
Of everywhere we went to look their menu was the most elaborate without extras.

Giorgio's was great but I think the couple added a lot of extras that come with Villas.

You never told me that! It better be ok for us.

All I wanted to do was try the damn chicken cutlet parm at the showcase. Of course they didn't have it.

Personally, I did not care for the food at Villa Lombardi's. There was so much sauce on everything that you can barely taste the actual food you are eating. This is just my opinion. I will say that the manicotti was great !!!

I loved the food at Atlantica! We ate brunch there before signing the contract and are doing our tasting the first weekend in June. I will report back.

Definitly VIlla Lombardi's. THere was so much food at the cocktail hour, and so many choices. Most of my guests couldn't eat their dinner there was so much at the cocktail hour.

Also I am a vegetarian so they were able to change things on the menu for me regarding my preferences.
