I know I am going to get blasted for this but to me wedding food is wedding ood unles syou pay $$$$$$$$$. in the last 18 months i have been to:

El Caribe( brooklyn)
Jericho terrece
fox hollow
crest hollow
Shelter rock jewish center and
windows on the lake

I hve to say the main course at all these places was equal except for el caribe in brookyn which was a tad above the rest.

I agree with you about wedding food. I think most are about how to mass produce a lot of Italian dishes, which seem to be the cuisine of choice. That, and quantity matters to a lot of people. JMO.

I must agree that sometimes people compare quantity of food instead of quality for the food.

Re: Crescent cakes.....wow, thats scary about the cake. They told me that we would work with an off-site baker for the cake. No self-respecting pastry chef should be frezing cakes!!!

The best food at any wedding or event that I have been to has been Villa Lombardi's. Everything was awesome.

I also picked my place for the food, which is outstanding but only holds small weddings.

Definitely Russo's on the Bay I just wish I could have afforded it
