Thats what i said.. the only bonus to one bathroom is that the takes are lower i heard... i have 2 bathrooms in my apt!!

WOW jen those house are TINY!!! who could live in there? i guess a single person, cause certainly frank me and the 2 dogs would never fit.. i would kill them!!

we're looking for a house in glen cove too... there are a lot available, fairly reasonable for the north shore area IMHO... but we aren't ready for one that big yet!

Im trying hard to stay on the south shore.. but this seems to be crazy, how can i save for a down payment when i have like a mortgage payment for rent, 2 cars, bills.. ect... its TOUGH and i make a pretty decent salary and frank makes triple me...its crazy the amount of money we make and we still cant get into a house...

Suzanne i feel exactly the same way... it makes me feel ill because I think we make a good living but cannot aford anything decent right now... and its so hard to save up when you have bills and 2 cars, we do too! Good luck with the hunting!

I know how bad it ****s!!! We have just been through the same thing. We have been looking for months!!! We finally got a bid accepted on a house we love and should have our contract tomorrow but it took a lot of time and disappointment. It takes time but it will come. And even when it comes it may not be easy this old lady has been jerkn' us around for 2 weeks now!!! I can't wait to sign and be done already!!! And then she isn't leaving till Dec.!!!

It will happen for you! - Stay Positive. All good things come in time.

We had a bid accepted on a house and then the owner got an offer for $30,000 more. We basicly switched gears at that point and decided to buy a weekend home instead. Our realtor called and asked us to look at just a few more houses on LI. We went and looked some houses in Wantagh (we had been concentrating on Massapequa) and there was our house! .
