I told DH that I want to give it a shot - I have always stayed away from stores on that day because I hear it's nuts.
Are the deals/savings/discounts really that drastic?
Where should we go? Roosevelt Mall?
Thanks!

Re: Black Friday - recommendations?
We got some really good deals at Target and Best Buy one year. But it was annoying and we got there by probably 1/2 hour before it open (either 5 or 6AM I think) and there was a big line already and it was freezing out and people got very mean when they ran out of certain merchandise. It was very crazy.

We went to Best Buy one year and we got really good deals. But we had to get there early and we waited on line for a long time.

Re: Black Friday - recommendations?
i work at sears and i've seen the ads (shh! i snuck a peek when i wasn't allowed to) but they look like there's some pretty good sales going on there. i know theres some shoes that are regularly 60-70 bucks going for 10-15! plus a lot of electronics are going on major sales.. but i didn't say nothing... i swear!
pretty much anywhere you go though is going to be crazy busy with really good sales. i wouldn't advise going to a movie theater though -- those are even more crowded from people 'avoiding the shopping madness'.

I usually do Target and K-mart and have gotten tons on sale. It does get NUTS. One time at Taregt they had $200 stereo's for $25 I think, people were grabbing them and running into things, it was chaotic to say the least....but the deals are very very good.
Stay away from Kay-Bee toys, that place was insane!
