ok - I'm a dork - i only red through the first page of posts! i'm sooo sorry that this has happened but I will refer back to 'everything will be as it should be' sometimes in the happiest or saddest of times we find out who real friends are. Its all going to be ok. go home and hug your honey tonight and spend time with each other. after that - your wedding is a HAPPY day - don't let any one leave a negative vibe on your day, your honey or your planning!!!! we're hear if you need to vent!

maybe bob is jealous of your relationship with dave and jealous of YOU.......it does sound like the wife has a little bit to do with it all......i agree that he probably hates his ogre wife and wishes that he had someone more like you!!! you are like the nicest person ever!!

the examples that bob gave dave dont make any sense to me and do not sound controlling to me at all asking people to be fitted for your wedding? that doesnt seem controlling at all - how else are people going to know what to do??? and planning your parties on the same day? how is that controlling? it sounds like lame excuses to me.....i mean is that all bob could come up with?? its so ridiculous to me!

try not to be upset.....its not your fault - just be there for dave - that is all you can do......i doubt either one of you will be missing him the day of the wedding - if that is the way bob truly feels you dont want him there anyway!

I'm so sorry! This is a tough situation... I really agree with the thought that he is upset he is 'losing' a friend (but so silly b/c he is really not, I just think he sees it like that). Plus his wife is a miserable B- otch and he's taking it out on the wrong people! You are better off w/o him and who knows- maybe he'll ditch the b- tch and come around in the future!!!

I agree. To be honest it sounds like jealousy. He may have a crappy life & feel like he is losing his friend as well. What an immature person.
