I was thinking about having my bouquet preserved and put into a shadowbox with one of our invites and (maybe) a black & white picture of FH & I from the wedding.
Here's the thing -- it sounds like the minimum cost would be $400. On the other hand, we would have it with dark wood and the roses are pink as would be the background, which goes with our furniture and china, so we could definitely display it.
Opinions? Here are some examples of what I'm talking about
I love the idea! I think that it looks so nice!! I would go for it!

Beautiful!!! You used Keepsake Floral, right? That's the company I was looking into using -- I noticed that they're a LIW vendor as well.

I was looking into them, and I love that they have jewelry boxes with a glass dome on top (a short one) that you can have some of your bouquet flowers preserved and displayed. The smaller boxes are less than $400. I think a 5x7 is only $200. The prices are on the site.

It's very pretty and a nice keepsake, but I'm just not sure about the expense of it.

yeah..it is expense...to help, you pay a deposit first and then reminder when it ships 2 mths later.. (makes it easier) and i counted this as a wedding expensive so funds were already there for it.

I couldn't afford the extra $400-$500, so what I did was to airdry my bouquet, and now I've been looking for a nice display case. I called some florists or flower preservation specialists, and some of them do sell the display cases separately, like the shadowboxes, the glass domes, or the hexagon boxes.

Well that's good at least! Thanks for all the info!

It's beautiful, but IMO, in the greater scheme of things, not worth the money. I will dry my BO-K by hanging it upside down (like I have most other rose bo-ks') and put it in a nice vase for our mantle.

Re: Bouquet Preservation -- worth it?
Well, I think (especially after reading the thread about people spending on average 30-70,000 on a wedding!!!!!) what is 400 dollars. I say if you want to perserve the memory, and you really like it, just consider it a wedding cost and do it.

that's how I feel. I really wanted to do it but I couldn't justify the cost.
