Re: Breast Feeding?
cosleeping... instead of throwing your kid in another room... you put a bassinet and let them sleep with you. its easier for feeding at night and they say it strengthens the bond blah blah blah. studies show it has a lot of benefits. i plan to keep the kid in the room with us for at least the first six months.
attcachment parenting is... not really explainable in a quick response. its basically all about being physically and emotionally close with your baby. lots of physical contact. carrying your baby a lot rather than tossing them in a stroller or play pen or whatever and just a lot of different things like cosleeping that develops your bond.
and yes, you absolutely lose weight faster while breastfeeding. they say it cuts 500 calories daily...thats what your need is nutritionally for supplying milk for baby. you can lose like a lb a week just from that alone.

i always said i wouldn't but lately i have decided i MIGHT give it a try.
side-note: it really freaks me out that you can breast feed a child up until age 7
i didnt know that... im feeling like once they are walking they should be off the boob...
once they have teeth they should be off the boob

All that stuff is really interesting, Becki.
I'm not being an azz, I do find it interesting.
I guess if FH and I ever do spawn, we'll have to read about all these techniques and figure out what works best for us.

100% yes. Sooo many benefits for baby and mom. I want to do it until at least 6 months.

One night my FH turned to me and said 'You ARE going to breast feed RIGHT?!' So I totally get that FH is random. My FH decided to 'argue' with me about it and I agreed to. He is now pushing home birth with a doula! ***! No way...I give kudos to the women who chose to do that but I would feel more secure in a hospital.

Re: Breast Feeding?
I plan on breastfeeding at least for 6 months. Its really good for the baby. My sister and friend just used to pump their milk so that others could feed the baby when they weren't around.
Plus, my sister lost a TON of weight breastfeeding. She was actually smaller than before she got pregnant since breastfeeding burns so many calories. I know that's a vain reason, but oh well, its good enough reason for me
