I called all the vendors tonight to make appointments. We only got through to two! The DJ and Limo company. I spoke with Freddy at the DJ company and he was as enthusiastic as I was! The limo company I also spoke to, but I have no idea who I spoke to, but he suggested we schedule everything with them at the vendor showcase. Too bad FH's b-day is the same day, so we're unable to make it - hopefully they have a show case in May!!!

I left messages with the photographer and videographer. Hope to hear from them soon! I'm waiting on the florist until my parent's make it into town - I'm horrible with corrdinating colors and flowers are not my speciality, so I want my Mom there to help make decisions and negotiate!

I didn't have a great time with the photographer. Hopefully everyone elses went well. If you want the details FM me and I would love to share.

I didn't go with the Limo company, I need more then just 2 6 pas limos.

I had a good experience also with the florest. I am paying an extra $800 but that is still good in my head.

I still have to meet with the video people, I called and It said they were out of the office.

I also found a good company to order boxes for my favors if anyone is interested.

ALmost done with the invitations, hopefully I will be able to sent them out sometime next week.

You actually don't meet with the videographer..i spoke to him last night..He calls you for directions to the church.....and that's about it...but he is a really funny guy.....

We met with Freddy (DJ) and he's a really cool guy......and had a really good experience with him.

Yeah - the videographer called last night and we got everything taken care of. He definitely was different - he had a very relaxed personality!

tonights showcase

Did anyone go to the showcase tonight? What were your thoughts. I was a little disappointed i am afraid that the coctail hour will not have enough food. Scott mentioned that tonight they actually had more food that the royal package offers.

Although on the otherhand i thought the dj was great and videographer was great.

I couldn't make it! FH's bday celebration was last night! How was it? I'm hoping to go to an expo in May with my parents to show them everything.

Since going to the showcase i am definitly either adding more dishes to my CH or I will upgrade to the Fantasy package, The food was very limmited and lacking. Although I do have to say the food was excellent. Especially the Penne ala Vodka, turkey and steak carving station.

The bakery was not there, which I was disappointed since I have not heard many good things about them, and there is no credit given for this.

The invitations look great.

The florist was very short and quite rude he did not want to answer any questions or discuss other options, it was like he felt he was giving you more than you deserved and he didn't even want to be there. I am seriously considering dropping them, You will get a $600 credit.

The videographer was awsome, he has a great personality I can't wait to work with him.

The Limo's look great and were extremely friendly and answered any and all questions. We will probably trade the two 6 person limos for 1 12 person stretch, or for $90 you can get the 14 person limo.

The photo guy was nice, great pictures but very expensive if you need an extra album like I do.

The DJ was great, they had everyone dancing and they were very lively. I was very happy with them.

Glad to hear the expo went well last night!!! Who represented the photo? We're meeting with them tomorrow afternoon to discuss our wedding day. Video is done. Florist still needs to be dealt with and DJ meeting is Tuesday!! Wow - it;s getting real!!!

I just started planning so I am a little overwhelmed. If you have any advice on dealing with the vendors please let me know.

Okay - just got back from meeting with the photographer. We were there for about an hour. We spoke with Mike and I was so nervous going into that office with everything people have said. I have to say - he was wonderful to work with. FH and I had sat down last night and made up a list of a LOT of questions we had about the type of photography, etc that would be taken. Mike was wonderful to work with and made things very clear for us to choose from and provided us with lots of options for upgrades that we were asking about.

We'll definitely be upgrading our photo album, but we haven't chosen exactly which one yet. We knew the parents wanted upgrades, but we saw their choices and we'll let them choose. The prices weren't that bad either, considering everything we're getting.

I have to talk to my parents about some of the things I want and see what they suggest. We may go with a 2nd photographer, but we first have to discuss the matter.

If anyone has any questions and wnats to know cost of upgrades, let me know - I'd be happy to share! Just go in there with an open mind and know what you want with your photography and what you don't want. It will make it easier. Mike made lots of notes on our photo form on what I wanted and didn't, so the photographer on that day knew exactly what my expectations were.

We don't want any black and white photography. We want traditional shots taken at our wedding, not candids. I don't need pictures of my dress hanging on a wall and the invites spread out, just standard shots. (To me, and the photographer agreed, will cut back on time and allow us to have more time with our guests, etc)

I have a list of some non-standard shots that I need to speak with my parents about and see if they feel a second photographyer should be added. I told them what the most important shots were to me. They provied me with an outline for the day and said I shouldn't miss the cocktail hour (except maybe 15-20 minutes depending on how long people take to get themselves in order)Mike told us a second one starts at $800 and goes up depending upon how much time we need him for and for what.
