Thanks for the review - thankfully our CH will be outside on the golf course (providing it doesn't rain - knock on wood)!!

Thanks so much for the review. I am going to make sure I ask for a differnet photographer. I think my cousin had the same photographer and she had the same complaints...

Some girls have posted reviews of BCC - even on this thread. Jen2999 went to a wedding there and posted her pictures from the place on this thread (page 2/3). Also, try the brides review. I found some brides having posted their wedding photos on there. Other than that, just call them and make an appoinmtment to visit them. They are closed Monday's, but open all other days and the hall is beautiful (in my opinion!)!!! Plus, the golf course for wedding photos is excellent!!

hello... how is everyone doing. I have to start my invites and I am not looking forward to it.
My bridal shower is this weekend in Buffalo, so that comes first. I've been looking for tiara's without any luck and I can't have my first hair trial until I get it, so I know the hair do and look will work with it.
We'll be sending our invites out near the end of May to give guests 3 months to send them back - or is this too long?
I still have to meet with all the vendors!! We almost were able to meet with the DJ tonight, but they were too busy with other customers when we just dropped in, so we have to go back to do that.
Does anyone know if our vendors are available for meetings on the weekends????????

Re: Brentwood Country Club BRIDES
I met with the florest and the DJ on the weekend. I have to call the photographer and the video person this week. All the books say to mail out the invitations 6-8 weeks before. I sent out save the date magnets in december to give everyone a heads up.
I saw that Barrons in the tri-county flea market has alot of tiara for a reasonable price. I bought my veil and flower girl dress from them.

Re: Brentwood Country Club BRIDES
ok ladies...so this was my opinion with the florist...FH and I were not pleased with the florist or her attitude...my BM dresses are cornflower (a light blue) I wanted blue roses or at least a preatty blue flower in the bouquets...she kept saying 'they don't make blue roses honey'...so in the end she tried to get me to have peach and ivory roses......which really wouldn't match my colors.... and she told me the centerpeices would be daisies....now don't get me wrong...daisies are nice but not when your bouquets are roses...Later on I called Flower Barn and met with Mike....He was awesome and gave us a great price...which also included church decorations..which is not included with the other florist...(he also offered to decorate our cake with fresh flowers no charge)..
Also met with the Bakery....We met with Dana who was absolutely wonderful to deal with and new exactly what we wanted..(3 tier heart shaped cake)

SO, does this mean that you're not using Ken & Eva's Flower's? What type of centerpieces are you using? My girls are carrying roses, but I have no idea what I want on the tables. What flavor cake did you decide on?

Re: Brentwood Country Club BRIDES
We decided not to use Ken and Eva's ...we felt they really weren't listening to what we had to say and she tried to make us go with flowers I didn't want....she also said that daisies is what comes with the package for the centerpieces which was not what we were originally told by BCC...in my opinion it would look silly to have roses for bouquets and then daisies for centerpieces....My FI even thought this was weird and he really does not care about flowers....I called Steve and told him that she said I couldn't have blue flowers and that we weren't going to use the florist...he said he would give them a call and see what happened....he knows I am no where near a bridezilla so something must have really set me off...ether way I am still not using them.Dana at Campbells on the other hand was great...we decided on half cannoli and half chocolate pudding!!!!!

Thanks for the warning! I didn't know about the daisies being part of the original package. I'll prob upgrade that to roses of some color instead or something else. I heard that you get a $1000 credit if you remove one of the vendors from the package. Can you let me know how much your flowers are costing with this new place? TIA!!!

Re: Brentwood Country Club BRIDES
It is true that daisy's do come with the package that the Brentwood COuntry Club uses. I know other people that got married there and that is what they told me. I upgraded to a dozen and a half rosesfor the centerpeices and she was more then willing to help out. I am not sure how much is taken off.I am not using the limos and I was told it is $500 off.
I will post pictures of the centerpieces and the flowers from my wedding. It is coming up quick....
I am meeting with the photographer tonight, will post about that......

Re: Brentwood Country Club BRIDES
I got married at the BCC last year and it was daisies and mums as the centerpieces and you got a $500 credit if you didn't want a vendor BUT if these vendors were over the 100 guest included in the package price, then you had to pay 1/2 for their plate.Things might have changed in 1 year, But I just wanted to add it in case you wanted to question Scott or Steve next time you talk to them.
Good Luck planning.

What would happen if we decided to nix the flower centerpieces and did something without flowers? Would this be allowed?

I'm sure you could do that, BUT it might not constitute the $500 credit.

Re: Brentwood Country Club BRIDES
I have to say that I did meet with Rosemary at the florist....I said to start that I wanted to change things from what is included in the package, and I have to say that they were very accomodating! She worked with me as far as price goes....Over all I only have an additional $200 out of pocket and the package includes the rest. Some of the things I changed... I didn't want all roses for my and my girls bouquets, I wanted mixed springy flowers. I also didn't like the standard centerpiece so I am doing a fishbowl look...
Overall, they have been great!
And yes, if you don't use a vendor, it's a $500 credit...
