How much have you girls budgeted for your bridal gown? alterations? accessories?
I am hoping/planning on keeping the budget to $1k for dress and alterations. I hope I am not dreaming.....
Just wondering what the average cost was. When I told FH last night that was my budget, I thought he would be happy...instead he was shocked at how LOW it was....he said, you can spend more on your dress if you want...we will find other ways to save money. I was shocked! Then, he asked me the average price and I guessed at $2k...but I really dont know....
So....what is the general price range you ladies are looking at?

I wanted to keep it all under 1500. I had a budget of under 1K for the dress. I was able to get about two hundred under. I believe Lillettes said that alterations are capped at 295 or something like that. I am wearing flats which will cost under 40 and am borrowing jewlery from mom or aunt for doj. I think ill be able to keep it up under 1500.

My dress budget was 2k and I got the price of 1700 with tax its 1800 (ballpark) they capped the alterations at 300..I'm not sure how much my veil will be because I haven't looked.

I dont want to spend alot on a dress i am only going to wear for one day...Plus I would rather get a massage on my honeymoon than have a more expensive dress...
Thank god im not alone.lol I hate that wedding dresses cost so much. I just cant see paying a lot for something i will wear once.
I rather use that kind of money for a fence for my house. jmo
The dresses I have been looking at are all under $600 so I am hoping I can keep everything under 1,000

Go to Barrons at Tri County....they wanted $1200 for my veil at the store then I go to Barrons and he said it would be around $100!!!!
I was thinking around $1000 for the dress, but My parents just told me they would like to buy my dress for me. If i find something above their budget I will pay the difference of course...

i think i found my dress, and im hopefully going to get it this weekend--with alterations and the bustle it will be around 900, but its because i shopped around a lot--the highest quote i got was for around 1800 with alterations and the bustle
