Bridal Gowns

I am looking for a place to buy a gown but I don't want to spend too much money. I read the posts about Davids Bridal so I don't want to go there. Any other suggestions?

Bridal Gowns...Not so much where you go ....

It's not so much where you go, (because most bridal salons will match prices)but what designers you choose. The less expensive ones I have found are: Mori Lee & Bridal Originals. The cheapest place I have found ( and they leave the tags on to tell the designer) is Wedding Center in Commack. I would visit there to try on some dresses and get a price, then buy from a different Bridal Boutique. (I haven't heard good things about there service and alterations). Also the internet has several sites that give the prices (so you can compare the prices you are given at the stores). Try www2.gownsonline.com

Bridal Gowns...

I got my dress at...don't laugh...Estelle's in Farmingdale. It's kind of a dinky store but they have a new bridal area in the back. There isn't a huge selection, but that's where I found the dress of my dreams, and I haven't been able to find it anyplace else. My mom's friend also got her gown there. I paid only $500...granted, it isn't the best service, but if you go on a Saturday they are pretty helpful. Also, try Lillette's in Baldwin. They have lots of dresses starting at $500 or so.
