Bridal Reflections Massapequa

I ordered my bridesmaid dresses from here and got horrible customer service. They would never call me back, alot of confusion and never had answers for me. When i was in my cousins wedding she had similar problems. I know of alot of people who walked out of bridal reflections with a horrible taste in their mouth..The Wedding Salon of Manhassett is SOOOOO much better!!! I got my wedding dress from there and wish I got my bridesmaids dresses there too.

I have to disagree that it is 100% the bridesmaid. While she definitely is wrong in this situation, the store really should have a loyalty to the person spending thousands of dollars in their store rather than the girl who didn't give them a penny.. if for no other reason. When the bridesmaid asked them to play along in this game she should have bluntly been told if the bride asks if all dresses were ordered they have to tell her no. They didn't have to spill the beans on why but she should have been told.

ITA I wrote something similar to this on a similar thread posted on the 2014 board (which has seemed to be deleted now).

It is Bridal Reflections fault for LYING REPEATEDLY to the bride. I just don't get what is so hard to understand about that. It was their obligation to tell the bride 'No, sorry, we couldn't order the dresses yet because not everyone came in to measured.' That isn't getting in the middle of anything especially since when the dresses came in there was still 5 months before the wedding, which is plenty of time to get a dress ordered.

Obviously, the BM should have been honest, but certainly Bridal Reflections needs to take some responsibility for the whole ordeal. Especially because on the contract it states that dresses cannot be ordered until all girls have been measured. So I don't even understand why they would order them anyway!

I am sorry that is horrible customer service, as someone who work for an e-commerce site which sells bridal gowns as well as bridesmaids gowns you KNOW how sensitive of a client you are dealing with. You never want to cause unneeded stress to anyone thats why its important to be open and honest. If mistakes happen the company should take ownership of it! As far as the bridesmaid, she should have told you! regardless of the reasoning. a serious conversation needs to happen with her.

Thanks for all the supportive responses girls! It was an absolute mess. For all the people saying that bridal reflections is not at fault, imagine if they did it to you. In NO WAY do I think my bridesmaid was innocent she should have told me from the beginning but I would of never thought this company would allow this lie to go on for as long as it did. The VP told me they now have a 'new policy' that the bridesmaid must tell the brides within 10 days that she isn't ordering or they will tell... Great for future brides but a business around this long should have this already. They shouldn't of gotten in the middle of it.

On the Monday of my wedding when they said they couldn't get the dress I pulled the girl from my wedding definitely, changed my programs and told them I would deal with them after the honeymoon. It took me a month to finally call because I was just so upset and they said they know they were wrong but only could offer me a dress cleaning.

I appreciate the girls that are putting themselves in my shoes and for the girls who AREN'T it doesn't surprise me. I'm not on here much but for the most part one girl always seems to like to go against the crowd and state her opinion loud and clear. I am just posting to let future brides know this is the kind of business they are running and to think twice.

So i've been waiting to share what Bridal Reflections Massapequa did to me the week before my wedding. It's a super long story but to sum it up the LIED TO ME for a bridesmaid and had secret notes in my file etc to continue lying to me until I found out 7 days before my wedding that they never ordered her a dress and told me they had. I am not going to use her name in this post (the bridesmaid who didn't order) lets call her Susie.

The story is long and unbelievable. I order my wedding gown in Carle Place with Andrea and literally had nothing but positive experiences with her. I chose Massapequa for bridesmaids based on convenience of location and I couldn't regret it anymore.

I am an extremely organized bride. I pick out my bridesmaid dresses last July 1st over a year in advance. I then brought a majority of my girls back on October 26th to place the order. At that time I was told the dresses would not be ordered until EVERYONE was measured. I had a few girls go and get measured, call in etc and then was told from your staff that ALL girls were measured the dresses were ordered. Susie's name was on the bridesmaid form this whole time so this was the first mistake ordering without her. I even called to confirm all girls were measured and the staff told me YES.

I then got notified that ALL of my dresses were in on February 3rd. This is over 5 months before the wedding. At that time no one told me Susie still had not been ordered. They said they were covering up for her not to stress me out. I don't understand how anyone still did not tell me I was one dress short with 5 months to go and plenty of time to get a dress. My girls then started picking their dresses up to get alterations closer to their homes. My sister was there the first week of july and asked IN PERSON have all girls dresses been picked up? They said 'Yes' my sister said 'Even Susie'... they hesitated and said 'Ohh wait she started alterations.' This is when the lies started piling up.

On July 10th my aunt was bringing Susie to her appointment. She called Bridal Reflections to confirm and Leslie said 'Susie doesn't have a dress.. you have to talk to her... I can't be involved.' My aunt was shocked at the unprofessionalism on the phone and didn't want to go crazy incase I still had any other girls dresses there. The truth then came out and I was left on Thursday night 8 days before my wedding in SHOCK. I was like no way they told me she ordered, they told me all dresses were in, they said she was getting alterations a company like this WOULD NEVER LIE. I then had to wait for opening on Friday the 11th (one week before my wedding). I called and asked for Leslie (Shockingly she was on vacation for the next week). I then got a call back from the manager who didn't have much to say. She didn't have a leg to stand on except that 'They didn't want to stress out the bride' It was ONE WEEK before my wedding and I was HYSTERICAL. Their plan completely backfired and they chose the bridesmaid over the bride and got involved in this twisted lie. They then gave me false hope that they could maybe get me the dress ASAP but I had to wait until Monday 4 days before my wedding to see if this was possible. I decided to have hope and wait the weekend expecting a call to my sister (who was now handling this because I was so upset) first thing Monday. They never called. My sister called back 2xs before Celine came to the phone and said there was no dress. At that point we had to give up what could we do.

I am sure this story is unbelievable. I ordered 9 bridesmaid dresses from this company, my wedding gown, my mom's dress, my grandma's dress, a veil and earrings. I spent over $8,000.00 at this company that completely lied to me. I am not saying *Susie* is innocent for not ordering in the first place but Bridal Reflections got in the middle of this twisted lie. The Vice President from NYC called me and offered to preserve my dress for all my troubles... NO THANKS! I would never ever recommend this company to anyone. They lied to me as a customer and didn't have a leg to stand on. I have to say Carle Place location was fine with my dress but as far as Massapequa avoid at all cost!!

One more question I wanted to ask, if your aunt was bringing Susie for her dress and Susie never got measured for her dress, How was that going to happened?

Bridal Reflections Massapequa

That's horrible. They are the worst! My bestie had a crazy story with them as well. It was kind of the opposite of yours. One of my besty's friends insisted on being in her bridal party even though she was not asked to be. A couple of weeks after we went for measurements my besty found out this said friend had ordered a dress too and the shop never told my besty. Their excuse was that they can't deny someone a dress. That's all good and well, but give the woman a heads up that she has an extra girl in her party. Said friend's name was never on the list. Then for the same wedding, they made me order my bridesmaids dress an extra size bigger and then charged me an arm and a leg to alter it down to the correct size. I wish I was able to get the name of the attendant that we dealt with because she was so unprofessional and rude. She must have been a manager because all the other attendants were apologizing for how nasty she was with us. I remembered all this when it came time for my wedding.

Bridal Reflections Massapequa

That's terrible, sorry to hear that this happened. I went there for bridesmaids dresses and walked out each time with my head spinning, nothing else had made me stress the wedding. I tried to put down a cash deposit for my junior at least three times, and had to walk out every time because they did not have their rules/regulations/policies etc.. together. It was almost fate telling me NOT to give them any more money. I picked a dress with some of my girls and once contracts were signed AND deposits were made, I found out through the designer that the dress was discontinued. After notifying bridal reflections of my discovery, paranoid that I would encounter an issue down the road, they told me that the designer would make the dresses but it would cost an extra $15 per dress. I don't mind the $15 price increase, but once a contract has been signed agreeing to a price, AND people had already put down deposits, they should have eaten that money and ordered the dress for me regardless.

Anyways, after that and the extreme inconsistencies with policies between Massapequa and Carle Place, I went elsewhere, and so far, couldn't have been happier with my decision.

As a bridesmaid myself, I did not encounter any problems, but as a bride, it was an entirely different story. I'm actually still having nightmares that bridal reflections never ordered my gown, and I didn't even buy it there! lol.

This

They told my sister in person that Susie had started alterations (because of all these notes they had made in the computer to continue this lie). So when my aunt said she was coming Leslie then said 'Susie doesn't have a dress, talk to Susie, we can't be in the middle'

HELLLLOOOO you can't be in the middle you should of said that to Susie in the beginning!! Instead they got themselves so involved that they didn't have a back up and just had to keep the lie going hoping they get away with it
