You can also try Patchogue Bridal Suite on Main St.. my best friend got her gown there recently and they are 1 on 1 with you. Good luck!

I recommend bayshore bridal suite. They have a ton of dresses and the women there are so nice. I got my dress and bridesmaid dresses there.

hmmm I got my dress at davids in carle place and Im partial, allthough they did a great job with the alterations, they are very unorganized and had many problems but the manager was quick to fix them ( I would never go there again though, Im just thankful I got my dress and ran) but I would def go to where my girls and moms are getting their dresses Blanchee in East Rockaway they are amazing, fast, I mean super fast, and customer service is impecable. All of us are going to continue to use her when we need dresses in the future for any occasion, and her prices are the BEST I have searched all of nassau and western suffolk and she couldnt be beat, it is a little far but well worth it. Good Luck!

RK bridal in Manhattan (39th between 8th & 9th). They have TONS of dresses and many different designers. They price match too.

Oh - and Kleinfeld. They get mixed reviews but I had an okay experience there.

Once you actually find a dress you like, I suggest calling Phyllis at www.gownfind.com since she seems to get the absolute lowest prices (lower than RK too). She runs an internet bridal salon but she is located in Long Island and has a full service salon that she runs out of her home.

Happy dress hunting.

You can try macy's in smithhaven mall or the one in manhasset--I would make an appt though--they won't see you without one, especially on the weekends.

I recommend Klienfelds.

I would stay away from Bridal Suite in Patchogue. The service is great until you order your dress, after that, GOOD LUCK getting help. If you do search you'll see a bunch of people that have horror stories about that place...including some people I know.

How about Adrienne's. It's on Main St. in Islip. I have been there with my friend numerous times. She ordered her gown their and our BM gowns too. I do know you need to make an appt to try on gowns. I thought they gave her alot of one on one attention.

I have been to 3 bridal salons so far and they have all been great:

Paradise Bridal in Patchogue

Adriennes in Islip

Fanstasia in Rocky Point

Fantasia you dont need an appt. but i still got all the individual attention I needed... i was also there on an 'off' hour... I went to Macys in Smithaven too and hated it!

Re: Bridal Salon Suggestion

I have to second Bridal Reflections.

I never thought I would be recommending them after my first trip there -- where the manager greeted me by asking me in a really snobby way how much I was willing to spend. At first I thought that was horrible, but now that I've gone through the process it makes perfect sense. The only reason I was offended was that the manager told me that I wouldn't be 'comfortable' there -- b/c (according to her) their dresses started at about $2500. I knew I wouldn't want to spend more than $2000, so I actully lied about my price range b/c I wanted to see their dresses.

It was totally worth it!!! Unlike David's or RK where I had already looked and where you have to know what you want going in, the consultants at BR practically READ YOUR MIND!!!

Here's what I mean: the first day I met with my consultant (Candace) she asked what I liked. I said not stapless, no lace, not too poufy, and not too much 'stuff' on it. Talk about vague! I ended up with a stapless, lace, A-line dress (Paloma Blanca). Why? Because Candace brought out a couple of dresses (I didn't pick any) and really listened to what I did and didn't like about them!

Ultimately I ended up spending $1500 on my dress (they met the price I saw at RK!!!) and three different consultants (all great) spent hours helping me.

They were soooo helpful. I know I couldn't have found my dress without their help.

My advice (JMO) shop around!!! And don't stop with what you like in magazines -- you have to be open to trying on different styles to find the one that's right for you!!!!

I got my dress at Paradise Bridal in Patchogue but also looked in Adrienn's in Islip and had no problems with either one of them.
