the last shower I attended, I received the little heart shaped measuring spoons. I love them and use them often. It's great for a shower because it really is a gift that only women will use (well for the most part)

maybe with the packets of hot chocolate or coffee but do they have other shapes, i dont like hearts lol sorry...WOW im realizing i have issues lol

no you just know what you want, I'm sure you can find other shapes. Maybe you can give it with a muffin mix or something so it's related to the measuring spoons

LOL yeah that sounds a bit better hahahaha...but i also dont know the theme that would help lol...i know my MOH likes things that are different and not traditional so who knows what it is lol

i like the plates

i saw a shower gel with a tag 'from zzzz's shower to yours' kinda cute/cheesey..i liked it but in a cheeseball

hhmm- i gotta think...you can always do mint tins or chocolate bars but its not unique

i think FHs cousin who studied chocolate in london is making hand dipped chocolates for mine- haha...i said ok- let her b/c i cant even be bothered w/ it anymore

BTW, I like that plate for olive oil you posted. I also saw someone had these beautiful espresso cup sets as favors. I remember seeing the website and the espresso cup sets were very reasonable. Lemme see if I can dig it up.

its not a plate for olive oil, its a sectional plate and its actually pretty big believe it or not...you can put fruits or actual food in there.

I like espresso cups but i know alot of ppl who told me they never use them when they got them as favors at weddings and stuff, i dont know why

I think theres a LIW vendor called Yellow Cottage Crafts, or something like that. They have really pretty hand painted glass things, like votive holders, etc.

They're a little pricey, but sometimes its worth it to spend a little more if ppl will actually ENJOY the items they recieve...

Last shower I went to I recv'd wine charms, they are on my glasses...

Being the Zilla that I am I suggested for my shower:

The MOH request that everyone e-mails her a recepie and they print a cookbook( through a pro. printer), since the Theme is 'Michele in Wonderland' Kinda like Alice in wonderland's Mad Hatter Tea Party we havn't had the photo shoot for the invites yet, but we are doing them in a kitchen & I am going to wear an all white 'Alice'-ish dress w/ an apron. My actual shower wil hopefully be a fun, colorful shower in someone's home, with cocktails in tea cups, and small finger foods, like cucumber sandwichs.

We're kinda poking fun at the fact that I am Clueless in the Kitchen. FH & I have lived together for 5years, most would assume I would know a thing or two.

We ate all of our meals out while we 'dated' once we're married, I'll put some time in to the kitchen

i know how to cook but i asked for no cooking or gardening or anything like that theme lol

but thats cute and funny

i love things i can actually use. i once received a spa kit (looah, slippers, shower puff, etc) which I adored.

The other thing I like is when the shower gift goes with the wedding favor. we were given espesso spoons for shower and an expresso set for the wedding.

Honestly, I don't think the sectional plate is appropriate. Maybe I'm cheap...but I think thats definitely more of a wedding favor than a bridal shower favor.

I've been to 3 bridal showers in the past 2 years and a favor has never even been presented... Maybe I've gone to some cheap showers! hahaha - JK. They were all really awesome.

But I know you were talking about doing a tea party theme? if so, why not give everyone a nice mug filled with an assortment of high-end teas? Or a teapot?

I think you also said a spa party was an option? Give everyone mud masks, towels, and bath gels. That kind of thing.

I know you had another idea...I cant remember it....mad hatter, maybe? If so, I'd do something similar to the tea thing.

Those are the types of gifts I like to get and give! I am thinking of doing something like that too....I received a spoon rest, utensil holder, divided dish on stand (like the one you have), cookie jar and bread platter at the showers/weddings this past year...all useful and I would defintely give them too!

for the shower you can do photo albums...shower gel or soap or lotion from bathand body.....
and sort of kitchen utensils work....
candles...

Here is what I have received at showers:

Rose shaped soaps
Mini Cocktail shaker w/ drink mixer
Chocolates
Jordan Almonds
Floating candles

my mom gave out these awesome pepper mills and the top part is a salt shaker!

i cant find the picture but it was imported from italy i will take a picture tonight when i get home - gorgeous!!
