Bridal Shower Favors

i have asked my sisters and mother who are planning my shower to consider potted plants as favors...it will probably be around the spring and i saw it in a martha stewart magazine and loved the idea

thats so funny,..that was my cousin's favor at her bridal shower a couple of months ago..

Everyone loved it :)

My favor was an Oil bottle., they had diff designs on them, everyone really really loved them.
You should suggest a spoon rest I loved this idea but my sister didnt go for it w/e

These were a big hit at my shower - cookies in a jar with recipe. My mom and BMs made them to match my wedding colors.

the last shower I attended, I received the little heart shaped measuring spoons. I love them and use them often. It's great for a shower because it really is a gift that only women will use (well for the most part)

I was thinking about doing something like that for the wedding. Or also a cream and sugar bowl I also received a ice cream scoop. it was cute. and at another bridal shower I got measuring scoops.

What I did was have my sister/the host (I knew about the shower because it was done at my apt hahaha) collect a few recipes from each of my guests. And then she printed and bound all of them into little cookbooks to give out to each guest.

I went to a tea party @ Lady Mendl's and the favor were chocolate truffles from Vosges
They came in this beautiful Chinese takeout box. The flavors were incredible. Wasabi chocolate, Ginger, Hungarian Paprika. But they also had amazing caramel ones...

yeah i told my moh if anything we can just do edible favors, i did it for my e-party so maybe ill do it for the shower

I also made soaps for my friend's shower. I had amazing 'flavors' some were oatmeal honey, lavendar etc. They were a total pain in the a@! to make. I made them in all different shapes (it was a baby shower so it was baby blocks etc.) But the outcome was great. Tied them up with rafia and a personalized tag. All the ladies loved here.
Here's an idea. every couple of months bath and body works has the HUGE sale. What about some the Bigelow products. Or, if your MOH if adventurous, there is a L'Occitane outlet in Woodbury Commons that has amazing travel size, beautifully wrapped soaps etc for like 2 dollars each...

i love the bigelow - my sister got me a cute gift set in like a porcelain thing for a godmother's gift... the lemon scrub is great; that is a cute idea - btwn bath and body works and the body shop they have cute little gift sets a lot

my friend did williams sonoma hand lotion for her shower... no idea about mine; my mom did capodimonte for my e-party... very pretty, little porcelain flower thing but i usually don't like to get that stuff (i.e., crystal dishes, etc.) more useable stuff is nice...

i can't think of ANYTHING that i've gotten that i love...

i love things i can actually use. i once received a spa kit (looah, slippers, shower puff, etc) which I adored.

The other thing I like is when the shower gift goes with the wedding favor. we were given espesso spoons for shower and an expresso set for the wedding.

ive gotten chocolate covered fortune cookies.

but make sure they are fresh.....some of the women at my table had gotten old and the chocolate was ash colored!

I had silver coffee scoopers (they can be used to scoop any powder drink too, like iced tea) for my friends shower when I was MOH. I got them at wrap with us in syosset, they were reasonable, cute, useful and i picked them right at the store, which was easy.
