Bridal shower venues or restaurants in Queens

Does anyone know of any places that are preferably in Queens for a bridal shower for $35 pp or less for around 25 people max?

I have to do some looking into for my mom she's not that computer savvy...

I've looked into Verdi's of Whitestone,Parkside restaurant and Riccardo's.

I forgot to mention also places that are easily accessible to people coming from the Bronx...thanks guys !!!

Re: Bridal shower venues or restaurants in Queens

bourbon street on bell blv has a brunch option that is pretty affordable (~$20). not sure about private room situation, but its worth a shot.

also some of the other places on bell may be willing to set something up. i would just walk down bell and see what you like

the pizzaria (it begins with a C) has a nice upstairs. maybe they can block it off for you if its during the day!

GL!

Re: Bridal shower venues or restaurants in Queens

I had mine at Island in Astoria, i have pics in my album from my bridal shower. It doesnt look like your typical place, has white lounge couches, also a section for tables, all white limestone walls, white fabric hanging from the walls, its very modern. They have 2 menu options, i know they do a brunch option which is less around the price range you wanted. My mom was afraid with dh's very italian family that they wouldnt like the brunch so she went with the other option although i think brunch food would've been great.

Re: Bridal shower venues or restaurants in Queens

The White House. We are doing my sister's there.

Also look into Monahan and Fitgeralds in Bayside. They quoted me a really low price. Donovans also has a pretty reasonable price but they give you an hour less than most places.

I've heard some pretty good things about Verdi's too.

Don't be afraid to haggle prices. But keep in mind that during May there are lots of communions, and in June lots of graduation parties, so they will be less willing to work with you.

Re: Bridal shower venues or restaurants in Queens

I only recommended the place i had mine at duh lol, here are others

you said you tried riccardo's, from what i know their prices are very good. Somebody i know is throwing a 60th bday party there now and they said theyre paying $25pp.

Ponticello's has a private room and food is delicious there, not 100% sure of their prices. I know they had checked out this place for my friends shower and i think price was around $35pp.

Waterfront crabhouse-i had my RD here, it was just a little over what you want to pay BUT i had mine at night so sunday daytime prices might be different, ALSO they did a full open bar which was added to the price so thats why. But just dont do that, do beer and wine only and should be around your price range. The food here is AMAZING i absolutely love it, portions are huge too. They also have a private room where you can do it.

Theres also Central, and Cavo but from what i know they can be pricey, you can double check with them and call for prices. Both locations are gorgeous and very different than your traditional place. Next door to central is Ammos which is same owner and place is GORGEOUS, i know they do events on sundays and can work with you on the price if you dont do open bar, thats where they charge alot but if you do beer and wine only it will be fine. They also had alot of menu options to choose from for different price ranges.

O'Neill's in Maspeth. That's where mine will be. They are under $20 per person.
