Bride Wars reviews... not good

the front page of yahoo said 'Bride Wars' busted...

then when you click on the story, they review a bunch of movies. this is what they said about Bride wars...

Stars Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway (who's on virtually every critic's list as a probable Oscar nominee for her role in 2008's 'Rachel Getting Married') are lifelong BFFs who've obsessively dreamt about their 'perfect day.' One would think that this combination of topic and talent would result in a can't-miss romantic comedy not unlike, say, 'The Wedding Planner.' But, judging from the reviews, the movie missed its mark. Rafer Guzman of Newsday writes, 'Hathaway and Hudson, both natural charmers, are reduced to female stereotypes in this outdated comedy,' while Anne Hornaday of the Washington Post minces no words: 'This thoroughly joyless movie also possesses a deep nasty streak, making it loathsome when it might have been merely annoying.' Does all this mean Ms. Hathaway may be kissing Oscar goodbye?

ohhhhh that s*cks i was looking foward to that movie!!!!!!.... i hope they're wrong!

i don't read movie reviews. i will see it once it comes on demand. in order to save money we don't go to the movies anymore, its cheaper to have on demand.

as for anne hathaway - i <3 her. i actually just watched devil wears prada the other night for the umpteenth time.

Remember what they said about Sex and the City?? It was supposed to be really bad, but I found it perfect b/c I loved the show. I think it's what you find enetertaining. I would guess that a 75 year old man probably wouldn't think Bride Wars is good....but we are getting married and could probably relate...if nothing else laugh at what we could be going through. I think it's going to be good!! JMO of course...

i will say that I went to see another movie about 2 weeks ago and they played the preview for Bride Wars...not one person laughed the entire time...

i was like jeez this might not be such a good movie afterall

i dont care about reviews! im still seeing it!

ITA!!! I have no idea why people think she is attractive or talented. furthermore, she wore the most attrocious clothes on that show.

As for the movie - I think most of us could would probably enjoy it. It relates alot of what we are going through. It would probably be a good movie to watch at home, though, with all your girlfriends.

i agree that current brides to be will enjoy it. i only posted the link because i know everyone was interested in seeing it. to be honest... i wanna see it.
