i have a choice between white & ivory & don't know which to get.
some opinions on what color you are getting would be helpful.

thanks girls are all your advice. my mom & sister where shocked when i decided on this dress. it is totally not my usual style. whenever i have tried it on (4 times already), i don't want to take it off.

First, your dress is beautiful!!!
I was also very tossed between White & Ivory. My sample was Ivory, and the dress & color was beautiful! Everyone there said Ivory was much better than White for me based on my skin color ( they did not have a white sample - which was very difficult), and I should get Ivory. I ordered Ivory, but then I couldn't stop thinking about it for days…so I changed to white. I just always imagined me being in white, deep down for me I really wanted a white gown. Also, when I tried the sample dress, I had no make-up and it was January…I had no color to me, I was very pale. In the summer, I get a nice tan. So, I know by the time for my wedding - I will have much more color than I did in Jan. Plus, I think for me I am just very traditional and always pictured my wedding gown to be white.
But, the Ivory is very beautiful! Everyone always told me it's just a personal preference when a bride chooses either white or ivory.

I personally picked an Ivory gown because it brought out my skin color more than the white gowns did. I think you should go with which ever color you think looks best on you and will look great in pictures.

I thought I would be going with Ivory from the get go but lo and behold my dress is white (with red trim). I think you should see if you can try on both colors in similar styles and see which one gives you that feeling!!! You'll know!
IMO Ivory would work beautifully for that dress. What are your bp colors? What time of year are you getting married?

that dress is gorgeous...I have a Maggie Sottero too!! I chose White because its just so elegant as well as traditional and I think stands out much more than Ivory..
That is my opinion...I hope it helps

OMG! That's my dress too!!!!! Ive had it picked out of a magazine going on 3 years now? hahah I'ts absolutely stunning and has been my favorite for years!! Im going with white b/c FH is in the Navy & wearing his whites! Cant have Ivory -it will look silly & clash with his white in the pics.
LOOOOOOVE IT!!!

the wedding is in April & my MOH is wearing light blue with a brown sash & the bridesmaids are wearing brown with a light blue sash.

i was unsure, i thought that i would get ivory but the girl that helped me at the salon said to do the white. she said different designers have different shades oivory and white and the designer you choose would def help you make the decision. i tried it on in ivory and she suggested white so i went with the white

in regards to getting white to be traditional, if you decided to get ivory...its still going to look white. no one at your wedding is going to be wearing white so even if your dress is a shade off of white its not like its gonna look tan or anything, it will still appear to be white

Your dress was my second choice and I got my dress in ivory. I felt that Maggie's whites are way too white

im got mine in white.. but most dresses today come in ivory over white..
i liked the white bc the dress popped more

Personally I wanted to go with a white dress, and was looking into the Victoriana and the Nevaya... BUT I realized that the white against my skin seemed so stark, and the ivory was much nicer and softer... and I couldnt even tell it was NOT white until I held it against something white.
Needless to say, I am having an ivory Victoriana, and it looks fabulous!
