brides under 25!

Re: brides under 25!

I'm 22 (i'll be 23 next month). I got engaged last month and will be 24 when I get married. My fiance is 26 and will be 27 when we get married. Everyone has been supportive. People aren't shocked that i'm engaged at 22, people are shocked that i'm not having a 2 + year engagement. My mom tried to push my date to July 2011, but my fiance and I are dead set on July 2010. We ultimately won, being that we are paying for the majority of the wedding.

Well i got engaged when I was 19 and FH 22, and I'll be getting married when I'm 20 and FH 23.

Some people tell me I'm too young to get married, others (i'm assuming their being honest) are supportive and tell me that they think it's great. We have after all been dating for 4 years already. But I'm actually not the only one in my circle of friends to be marrying early. A lot of my friends are christian and brazilian (me too) and I guess we brazilian christian ppl don't mess around a lot.

The hardest thing for me: it's always been a dream of mine to live in France for a while but FH never wants to do that....ever. I suppose that's one advantage to getting married later...you get to 'live life'. But at the same time, I'm giving up one dream to live another. I love FH so much. I love every second that I get to spend with him, every second that I get to talk to him, every second that I get to see him. I love traveling with him and going out, as well as just staying home and being lazy. I feel privileged to be getting married earlier because I get to spend that much more time with what matters most to me in the world and grow together with him instead of apart from him. I feel ready as ever to get married.

ok....i'm going to shut up before I write a book lol

I got engaged just after I turned 20, and FH is 22. We'll be 21 and 23 when we get married. At first I was really worried about everyone thinking we were crazy but everyone has actually been really supportive because they know how we are with each other. I thought my parents would have a problem with it but FH talked to them before he proposed and they were very happy, and my dad said that out of any of the guys I had been with, he's glad FH is the one I'm marrying.

Re: brides under 25!

We've been dating since we were 15 on and off and then we got serious when we were 17 and 18. Ive known his family since I was 7 (I was best friends with his sister haha but thats another story). went to highschool and college together. we've been living together for about 2 years maybe more. both have full time jobs. we have a house together and pretty kitty named fifi haha. I totally could have animals instead of kids.

Its just so complicated because both my parents died of cancer when i was 19, and his parents are divoriced. And Im an only child so its like i have no1 supporting me and his parents are kind of not so keen on marriage to begin with. Its like no1 is excited for us and its such a bummer. And like some1 posted before, none of my really close friends know what its like planning a wedding because theyre so young and they dont really care. It just seems like everyone is fake excited. Im just frustrated. It's totally different when you don't have your mom to help you plan your dream wedding, and FH parents think everything is a waste of money and we should just go get married at court. and Im all 'Hey we have the money and I want my dream wedding! you only get married once!' . and then on top of it , I think FH sister is kinda pissed because shes not engaged because shes been dating her bf longer than me and my fiance have, but they just cant afford to get married and start a life together. I feel like everything is a mess. Somehow I am going to pull this wedding off. haha
