Brides with fine hair - no volume!! What are you doing w/your hair?

Ugh I hate my hair. It's a pain. It doesn't hold anything, really. And especially now that it's longer (I had to let it grow so we can actually do something with it) it drags down even more!

Any other brides in this predicament? How are you styling your hair? I'm so frustrated with all the pics I've seen. I know I definitely want half up half down...and I like the ideas I have but...I dunno. I still don't see anything I LOVE, ya know?

I feel your pain!!! My hair is so thin and straggly and doesnt hold curls. Same as you, I tried to grow it out so we'd have somethiing to work with and its even worse as it gets longer!

.... so I have my hair trial tomorrow to get a half up do (i look horrible with all up and never wear my hair up but when im home) but she is going to add 100% human hair extensions that she clips in to add volume. We'll see what happens! Ill post pics.

my hair is thin and i seriously thought it couldn't hold curls. like i have thin, pin straight asian hair. but when i went for my trial, not only did she curl my hair but it stayed in all night!

Have you considered extensions to add volume? I think it is a wonderful thing! MY FSIL uses her all the time, lol! Your hair is going to be gorgeous on your wedding day, because you yourself are beautiful!!! good luck

Ya know, I hadn't even considered that. not quite sure if my hairstylist does that (I'm using the one I've been with for years). I like the look but....I guess I worry I won't look like myself! I wanna look great and all yet...I don't want to not look like myself if I'm too done up ya know?

Hmmmm....but then again, maybe it will help in some respects...

that is a very good point, I can see not wanting to be over done if she does do extension, then you can certainly give it a try, also if you don't go the extension route, you could do a half up half down look with a looser curl look, more like a wave, that way if the curl gets loose it will be a good thing cause that is the look you were going for in the first place

I have the exact same problem, thats why i am getting extensions, i know no matter what i do, it will look limp and not last long if i dont get the extensions

you dont have to go dramatic with the extensions...A year ago i did very long and dramatic extensions...but for my e-party i put just in the back of my head not all around just for some volume and it was cut to my length, just a lil bit longer actually but not much...NOBODY knew that night that i had extensions...if you look at the pics in my album youll see its hard to tell and wont make you look different than yourself

Well basically I already have an idea of how I think the top should look....



But then I saw Preshy's hairstyle at TWOTY and got inspired- but I so doubt my hair could look like this. I love the idea of a wave...and yes it's better than curls...but won't it still look messy a couple hours later?
