Re: Brides with Small Chests
My seamstress picked out a bra a cup size bigger and then put cups in it. Im flat as a board but this made me look fuller.

SOunds ridiculous but I had cups sewn into my dress and wore a bra-i had to do this b/c the bones in my dress went thru the chest and they couldnt take it in, it filled it out, granted in some pictures you can see that I dont completely fill it in but there isnt much that you can do about that

I wore a strapless, padded bra. Thought about getting cups sewn in, but the bra ended up working fine.

girls I just have too say that even though I am not tiny (the other way around I am too 'gifted') I am thinking how I am going to cover this things so they dont look so big.... Just want to let you all know that we are all in the same boat but w/ different proportions
I'm with you!!! Trying to find a dress so i looked elegant and not slutty was no easy task. I even considered getting a reduction before the wedding because i lost a ton of weight and my boobs wont budge. Grass will always be greener on the other side i guess.

I'm a smallish C and I looked flat in my dress too! I'll probably wear a long line bra, but I want one with cups! The one I tried on in the bridal shop was very thin and unsupportive and made me look even flatter.
I might see if they can just sew cups into my dress, but I'd like to look like I have some curves.. I'll see what they can do when I go for my fitting.
AGREED! Im a c also and dresses can make you look flatter..im just wearing a push bra to help with the cleavage!

Re: Brides with Small Chests

Re: Brides with Small Chests
My dress fit well but the top looked too empty - what I found that helped A LOTTTTT was a long line bra - it pushed up my boobs and made them look fuller.
When I went for my 2nd fitting, I noticed that while my boobs looked better with the long line bra, there was a bit of space on the underside of the boob area in the dress - they could have taken it in a bit but all the detail in my dress is in the boob area. So they added one cup in each bra cup (not the dress) - BUT what the seamstress did was to take one cup and fold it in half and sew it into the bra like that so it was like a half cup but thicker (make sense?). It worked PERFECTLY and my dress fit awesome. It wasn't like being stuffed, just like having more pushup.
Here are a couple of pics

I bought a strapless Very Sexy bra from Victoria's Secret and the seamstress attached it to the dress. It gave me just the right amount of padding.

Re: Brides with Small Chests
Nicole the padding should work if you are looking for shape and not cleavage. Talk to the seamstress about it before purchasing your dress.
I have used cups (usually two pairs at a time) in many strapless bridesmaid dresses. They never gave me cleveage but they gave the full illusion.

Re: Brides with Small Chests
I'm not big in the boob department and to make it worse I am heavyset as well.
I acutally just got my bridal bra yesterday and I had to have some pads as well to fill out the bra. I'm hoping that it will be okay.
I really didn't want to deal with chicket cutlets...
