bridesmaid headpieces

Hi Ladies: Thought I would share an idea I had yesterday. I went to Michael's crafts to find navy flowers to make headpieces for my bridesmaids and MOH. I found the smallest navy flowers and navy rosettes. I was going to start the headpiece (bun wrap) with a pipe cleaner sort of gadget, but found this round pearl base instead. It's in the bridal isle. It's a circle of baby pearls that is adjustable to any size you want (wreath, bun wrap, etc.). I thought I would have a problem covering the pearls up, but I have to tell you how wonderful this thing worked with a glue gun and the color flowers I picked. I was able to adjust the band to a little bigger than a bun wrap size, I hot glued each little flower around the whole thing. They came out exactly how I wanted it to look; I am so please with it. I can't wait to see my girls with them on. The pearl bands cost 4.99 each and the flowers costed me approx. 7.00 and I made 3 full bands with it. Just some info in case anyone was planning on doing headpieces for the girls. I just had one made for my flower girl in white and it cost only $18.00, but had I realized how easy this would be, I would have done it myself. If you want more info or help, you can email me.

NEVER HEARD OF THEM.THE OWNER OF THE CORAL HOUSE COMES FROM MY HOME TOWN. HE DOES NICE PARTYS AND HE HAS FARE PRICES. GOOD LUCK WITH PHOTOGRAPHY.

I'm also having an interfaith ceremony. Cantor Benedict is marrying us. If you'd like his info, email me and I'll send it to you directly. Good luck!

You are so creative - how do you find the time to do all these things? The ideas out there are overwhelming. I suppose as you get more and more of the "big stuff" out of the way, you can focus on the special "little things". I bet these headpieces will look gorgeous. I love that glue gun! Kate, I also liked the idea for the programs, thanks for sending it over.

thanks for the info dee! i'll check him out (i tried to send this message before and it didn't work- or so i think- so if this is a repeat.. sorry!). -leighann

You're welcome Elizabeth. Actually I run around a lot, but when I have an hour when I get home from work, or whatever, I just start whipping out stuff and playing. I made, probably, 6 different centerpieces, can't tell you how much money I spent on the stuff, and never used any of them. I bought angels instead. I probably spent more on supplies than I did buying all the angel sets for the tables... LOL. Whenever you get a minute jot down things you like or if you see them jot them down and then just try them. It's amazing what comes out of it or you might get a better idea. I look through a lot of magazines and feel that you don't have to order headpieces, pearl pins, etc. from those specific companies, so I just go to the store and find the stuff and play that's all. It's fun too.

we are getting married feb 23, 2001 at chateau braind... so much planning still to do..

good luck everyone
