Brother of the Bride

I am very close to my brother and would like to do something special for him. I thought about having the deejay announce a song dedicated from me to him and dancing with him. This dance wouldn``t take place during the traditional dances but sometime during the reception party. I just can``t think of a song that I could dance with him or when this dance should take place, please help, this is very important to me. If anyone has any other ideas on how to create a special moment between my brother and I, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi! Your wedding is the day after mine!! :-) I think that it is a very sweet gesture for you to dance with your brother. What about dancing with him, after cutting the cake or even right before cutting the cake (father-daughter dance may follow cutting the cake). The first song that came into mind when reading your post is 'wind beneath my wings', there is also another song that may appropriate---it was played in a movie that Michelle Pfeiffer played in, but I can`t think of the name! good luck!

Definately try to tie it in with one of the pre-defined traditions of the wedding. I had a special song dedicated to my new husband that I wanted to dance to, with him, and when they announced us I pulled him onto the dance floor (it was about an hour before the end of the reception) but we had people come over to interupt (guess they didn't hear the dedication) and stopped us from dancing to give us cards and talk, then others came over and it kind of spoiled a special moment for me.

I will definitley take all this into consideration, I just thought that it would take up so much time during the traditional dances, but I do want this to be special, my brother means the world to me, and he has no clue that I am doing this, he is going to turn beet red.

I am freakin out and excited at the same time I have exactly 5 months today, and I feel like I have a million things to do, yet I wish I was getting married tomorrow, go figure!
