Oh yeah, once I was along in the PG, I would wake up in the middle of the night with bad heartburn. Uggh. Tums usually helps, but before I was PG, I never had heartburn!!

I have never had a problem with acid reflux before but I did notice that I am burping up everything. (sorry to be graphic).
The doctor also happened to mention to me last night that a sign of pregnancy is an increase in acid reflux because your hormones are causing changes in your body.
ETS: that's the word...heartburn! believe me you know when you have it.

My morning sickness was not severe at all. Just a queasiness that came and went at any hour of the day or night. The thought of eating was not at all appealing to me, but I did it anyway to keep food in my stomach and the nauseous feeling would subside. This lasted for approx weeks 8-11, and I never vomited.
You're right, your sense of smell is heightened and that could also cause you to become ill. I remember posting about those Yankee Candle Plug ins and how I threw it away cause it made me sick! I didn't know it at the time but I was pregnant. Ugh the thing made me so ill and it was my favorite scent.
