We still have to sit down and officially figure out our budget, but his parents gave us a huge chunk and a chunk towards a down payment on a house... he's an only child. It will probably be somewhere around 30k maybe more... I'd looooooooove to be able to get what I want for 10k! But I think he and I are too picky. Stick to your budget!!

I WOULD LUV TO HAVE A 30K WEDDING BUT UNFORTUNATELY MY FH AND I CANT AFFORD THAT. AS OF RIGHT NOW I AM MAKIN MY OWN INVITES WICH LOOK AMAZIN (WILL POST PICS WHEN THEYRE DONE)GOT MY DRESS AND HAVE THE HALL WICH INCLUDES DJ CAKE AND A WHOLE BUNCH OF OTHER THINGS AND I ALSO HAVE MY PHOTOGRAPHER SO FAR IVE SPENT ABOUT 6K........IAM A VERY PERSISTANT PERSON AND TALKED DOWN THE PRICES BY WHOLE LOT.....AND WERE PAYING FOR IT OURSELVES AS WE GET THE MONEY OUR SAVINGS ARE FOR THE HOUSE WE WILL BE BUYING....

my budget started at 15,000 then the hall ended up costing almost that much. I'm determined not to go above 20,000 though...whatever it may take.
We started at 15K... and will probably be at 20K at the end...the real money savers for us though was havign it at a very affordable hall and booking in february. we saved on vendors big time because they were anxious to work in february. we'll be just under the 20k with EVERYTHING (including HM, dress, photo/video, band, etc. etc.)
it's still so much money... the only consolation is we'll end up back where we started as we'll hopefully get that back in gifts... we'll see!

20K is the absolute max that we are trying to spend. Those of you who can afford to go over the 25K mark consider yourselves BLESSED!!!

We started with a 30k budget. I think we will be over 50 after HM. This wedding will officially bankrupt us and deplete us of all our savings.

I wanted to keep it at $30,000 but I am well above that. My hall alone is going to cost more than that. But whatever, we only do it once. Thank God for the engagement party and the bonus I got. Otherwise, we might be in over our heads. LOL But we'll get through it.

i (in my naive state) thought that 50 thousand would cover it-- after seeing how many people are coming that number went up and up and up... so now we are coming in at a lot more, more than i would like to say

Our's was 50K. So far we are on track but will probably go over. That is not including the HM. No credit cards paying for this outright. Dont want any headaches after it's over.
We have been saving for a while.

My budget started at about about 25K but now it looks like it's going to come close to 40k W/out my HM. We're looking to book through Amex travel to use benefits!!! So hopefully that will take some of the load but I think overall might be 50K.

I'm hoping we'll stick to 25K-30K....but considering we've really only booked our hall...not sure if we'll blow past that!! When I book my photo/video I'll know if I'm being realistic.

We are close to the20K but won't go over... and honestly, we are having EVERYTHING we want! it is possible!!! FM if you need help or ideas... but i'll tell you, booking in february really paid for itself and then some!
