Hi all,

I'm new and i got engaged to my Prince on January 20th :)

We had grand ideas but we looked at our finances and we have 10k to play with.
our preferred date would be black friday (November 29th)
I excluded Ariana Waterfall as i didn't fall in love with it, i was thinking more like Crest Hollow or the Coral House, but i will choose the best food i can find since i'm having italians at the wedding.

I checked the Sterling and didn't like it really.

I just want something not cheap looking if possible!

Please help me with suggestions....i'm a bit worried about this.

Crashing! I would look into Stuart Thomas manor and east wind the cottage....they offer all inclusive packages...however what are your number of guests and would it be afternoon or evening? Check out stewart country club and verdis in westbury....good luck and congrats!

If you're willing to hold off a little bit then my hall (Sea Cliff Manor) and I think it's 'sister' hall (Stewart Manor Country Club) have AMAZING winter wedding specials. Sea Cliff told me that it ran from December through March and applies to any day of the week (so you get the same deal whether you're on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday). Plus, during that time of year at Sea Cliff, the trees on the grounds are bare so you can see the harbor so clearly through the windows - its beautiful!

If you can hold off until January/Feb/March, many halls give winter all-inclusive packages!! Flowerfield does one for 10k for 100 people.

you can totally get great prices

i would try any hall that is typically up to $80 pp ++ that gets you to about $100 pp HOWEVER with that date you should be able to negotiate.

a few places i went to that were very well priced in general were:

anthony @ mill pond caterers (yaphank or medford?) -- they also had a $4-5k vendor package

meadow club in port jeff. they said they are doing reno's so if they did it would be perfect!

you dont have to go all inclusive to get a good deal but you do have to do research and negotiating!

Try CLM they were very reasonable when I met with them. It was just too far for my family to travel.

Awww nice!yeah we cannot travel too far as our parents are not going to like that LOLL!
I was looking to stay in Nassau if possible! :)
But I'm calling everyone and trying to go see as many as i can so we can better price it out!
Jan/Feb no good months i have relatives travelling from overseas and if it snows heavy i won't take a chance, plus we both (me and FH) love the idea of a Thanksgiving wedding!

East Wind does an all inclusive for <100 its beautiful. Also check Mediterranean Manor they also doe an all inclusive package its not old or as outdated as some of the others. Personally if you thought ariana was outdated I think you will think stuart thomas manor is too. JMHO HTH!

Maybe you could be more considerate when you are talking about other brides' reception hall. I am getting married at Ariana Waterfall and I love the place. Every bride has a different style and that can be expressed without insults.

The Brentwood Country Club does all inclusives I think it's about 10k for 100 people. Its in Suffolk but not too far from Nassau. Maybe 20 minutes away.
