budget florists

Any recommendations on florists willing to work with a budget. FH says he doesn't want to spend more than $1500... is that reasonable?

We need
14 low cp's
1 bride bo-k
1 MOH bo-k
1 BM bo-k
1 junior bo-k
1 groom boutineer
4 GM boutineer
2 mom corsages
2 dad boutineer
and ceremony flowers

We already saw Flowers by Gina

TIA

$1500 is def doable with what you are looking to get. Check out Designs by Rose in Howard Beach. They do beautiful work and work with your budget.

I agree with Ellie. Check out Designs by Rose. I honestly thought it was impossible to get the centerpiece I want at an affordable price.
Rose made me a sample and went above and beyond my expectation!!!
You will love her and her mom!!

2 of my friends I referred to Verbena are paying less than that. Check her out. Tell her your budget and she'll work around it.

i would check out the local florists as opposed to the more 'wedding speciality' florists aka vendors on this site lol... theyll probably be more inclined to work with your budget and will most likely charge less for the same thing at the other florists

I would try Flowers by Brian - not sure how much their low CPs are, but my high ones from them are $150, so maybe they're like $80-100? Work with Joseph - he was excellent!

Try Flowers by Gina!! She's great and she throws in lots of extras. As long as u stick with low CP's it can be done.

Opss, didn't read your entire post first

Also check out Verbena or LA Blossoms

I completely agree- the local florists were so much cheaper

we used a local florist instead of a hyped up 'wedding florist', and i was amazed at what other ppl pay for flowers. we saved so much money and our flowers were gorgeous.

We're getting married in Huntington and Amy or Lisa at Main Street Nursery/Florist in Huntington are wonderful. I'm only getting personal flowers but they were very reasonable and do beautiful work. FM me if you'd like more info...

Thanks! You gals are so helpful!

I called designs by rose and Verbena but they're both booked that week

So far I just made appointments with flower by B U R T O N, and flower barn.

ETA: I'll also talk to Gina again and see what she can do with our budget. At the time FH and I didn't know what to expect in regards to flower pricing and determined our budget AFTER seeing her.

Re: budget florists

there was a thread a few days ago about B**u*r*tons that was pretty negative. A bride had some issues with them and unfortunately, I think the thread was pulled. A 2011 thread alludes to it and I would FM that bride for more details.

FWIW, I am not going to them and have heard a couple of negative reviews so I am not chancing it just to save a few bucks.
