maybe you can take a weekend trip after the wedding, then go on a really nice vacation when you have extra $$. and if you wait, you can make it an even better trip if you have extra $$ to budget for it!!

Let me tell you what we did......We got a 0% APR for one year Credit card. We are paying the min. ($5) and using wedding $ to pay it off when we return! I cant belive I just told people that. Is this messed up?

i was thinking about a loan and just pay it off when we get back with wedding $$ but fh said no

We are in the same boat! So instead we are just going to florida. When we save more money we will have our 'real honeymoon'! It stinks, but the cost of everything is crazy.

i know everything is so expensive. and i made changes to my vendor contracts like adding room lighting and adding more flowers that $$ couldve been used to the hm but i cant have my cake and eat it too.

nope their not in the best financial situations either i would ask my parents but they already paid for our photog and gave some $ for the hall.

sorry. it is sad but the biggest part of the day is that you are getting married. Set a goal to do your honeymoon in 6 months or a year and set up a savings account just for that-maybe put it in the ING acct to get the extra interest. Personally, I no intention of having a honeymoon because I knew that there was no way we could afford it. Then my twin sister surprised me with a honeymoon trip to San Juan. Did you have a shower yet? If not, what about a honeymoon registry if you can set it up last minute? Good luck but reminder at the end of the day-you will be a married women!

I know how you feel ..... I am going through the same thing.. we decided for HM in July and going down to Jersey Shore for A Mini HM Memorial Weekend..
