Bustle help

I HATE bustles. I don't care what way I see them I think they all make the back side of anyone look huge. I really don't care if my dress gets dirty on the bottom. Do I really have to get one? I have a train but it's not that long at all. Suggestions?

I had a small train, so my bustle was lower...probably around the back of my knees. I had my dress bustled up after pictures and the ceremony. I didn't want anyone to step on my dress...that's the main reason. Plus, it makes dancing so much easier.

You'll for sure regret not having one. People will be stepping on it, and could potentially rip your whole dress. Ask your seamstress to show you different styles of bustles and see which you like the best. I was able to have a bustle that basically looks like it's the way the dress was made to be because the bottom of my dress is ruffled and it all just flows.
