I am going tomorrow to pick out my menu and cake. Which is the best type of icing to get? does it matter? What will most people like the best?

Claud2001 Your son's cake is gorgeous. I vaguely (sp?) remeber seeing it in her portfolio too. I am using the lavendar cake on her site. I am so excited. Thanks for the feedback!

hi again....no, i don't think you have seen my son's cake. she just made it last weekend. however, i picked the style from her website, and just asked her to use baby blue in it. perhaps that is why it looks familiar? which cake are you getting?

I vote for wipped cream. I dont like buttercream...too sweet, and I have never had fondant..??? What is is??

It is a rolled sugar paste icing. If you think buttercream is too sweet you will not like Fondant. It looks great because it looks perfect and smooth but it is very sweet.

I vote for whipped cream too. Here is a picture of my cake, only i will have stairs coming down and branching into two little cakes
