Re: Butterflies?
If you do search, you'll find that many people posted on this topic. Here is one thread for example: Butterfly Release

Those are very good points made in that thread. As an animal lover I am also against the idea.

Re: Butterflies?
PLEASE don't do butterflies. Beyond it being cruel to them (stuck in an envelope for days/week) they usually die and it is depressing for your guests to open an envelope with dead butterflies. please. Throw rose petals or whatever but don't use butterflies.

I agree!! I thought about it a lot, because at first, i thought it would be so pretty, but then I realized, they are shoved in boxes, for hours, of course they are going to die, and I would hate it if I opened a box and there was a dead butterfly in it

Re: Butterflies?
I considered it but it has to be a certain temperature for them and there is a chance it would be too cold on my day. If you do it, use a big container for them all. That way if there are any dead ones the guests won't know. If there is someone special that you need a job for at the wedding but not the bridal party, they can be the one to release the butterflies.
