We went yesterday to a Taste of home bakey and the cakes we tasted were delicious.. Now Im very picky and dont like any fruit filling or chocolate so fh had his hands full with me tryin to decide on a cake we can both tolerate considering he likes everything I don't... lol.
It's a 3 layer cake and we wound up compromising and settled on 1st layer yellow cake, vanilla custard filling, second layer chocolate cake, oreo mousse filling, and 3rd layer yellow cake.. also butter cream frosting.. We originally didnt like butter cream and wanted whip cream but for some reason this bakery had amazing butter cream and we had to go with it!!:)
It was delicious and am soo excited!! Now if only we can come up with a design!! Lol

We went there!! They had the 'build-a-cake' system! We had so much fun there! We did yellow cake, chocolate mouse, chocolate cake, Oreo mouse, and Red velvet cake. We had Swiss butter cream frosting. We had a million compliments on our cake. People were saying how most wedding case are just for show and don't really taste good. We're going back in a few weeks for my 30th birthday cake! Is the wedding cake included in your package or are you paying for it? The only reason I ask is because I didn't think Taste of Home was an option for the Inn (when the cake is included) Thanks! -- I hope it is, I love Taste of Home!

I called the INn to set up a cake tasting and they didnt give me a choice.. they said call a taste of home bakery and they will set it up for you.. Our cake is included in the package. the only thing not included is certain things, like red velvet, oreo mousse, square cakes, fondant.. etc..
