Cake Topper- Update with response from wedding factory direct

Update: This is their response to my email saying that the stand is incorrect. I'm so annoyed!!! How can you put it in at an angle without it clearly looking retarded? Not happy with weddingfactorydirect.com!!

After looking at the pictures that you sent I am not sure what you are seeing as an issue with the letter S. The only difference I can see from the font map to the cake topper is the angle of the letter. They can be place in the cake at any angle, so that should not be a problem. There is no defect with the letter itself as the design matches exactly to what is shown.

So my weddingfactorydirect cake topper came in today. I was so excited and when I opened the box was like, 'what the heck is this?' It looks so small to me. I checked the measurement and it is definitely the large one although the width doesn't match up.

Here's my issue.
1) It looks small to me (pic next to BB)
2) The S doesn't match the font that they showed on the website. Supposed to be more slanted.

Obviously it's all sales final. So what do you girls think????????

Should I go to topperswithglitz and spend over $100 on one or keep my $30 one??????

ug they put the stand in the wrong place!! did you try contacting them showing them those pics?

i actually like it ...... my new last name will be S too and i think its soo nicee. but you have to be happy with it. i cant see spending 100 on a cake topper but thats jmo

HOw big is yourdress? Is it possible to put some flowers down at the base, with the 'S' coming out from them? That may jazz it up a little.

I would contact them. the stand doesnt look like its in the right place. its kinda hard to tell what letter it is, if you didnt know it was an S

Ugh, I'm so annoyed. There goes $30. No idea what I'm going to do with this now. I just wrote them an email, but their business hours are M-F. I wrote to them that I shouldn't have to go through the hassle of returning a defective item and have to pay for their mistake.

i would contact them and see what they can do if anything. it cant hurt. but honestly i like the one they sent you. its not bad at all. my last name is gunna have an S and i would use it

maybe if you cut off the left prong you can insert it into the cake on a slant to look more like the pic?

It is small... Ive been looking for cake toppers also and im shocked by how expensive they are!

it looks like the oyt the stand int he wrong place... i would definitely let them know
as for the size... do you know how big your cake will be? ive never seen these up close so im not sure what a good size would be

i agree that the stand is in the wrong place however even if they dont fix it, i wouldnt waste $100 on a cake topper. even if you use this one and someone walks by and says 'oh that looks like a funny S'..they will forget about it as soon as they turn their back. its just a cake topper...def doesnt hold much impact in the grand scheme of a wedding

But def the 'S' doesnt look like the one they advertised.... Def call them-if they have any kind of Cust Serv they will accomodate you... Let them know you belong to a very popular bridal website and u will spread the word if they dont...lolol

even though i understand the no return policy i think they should at least let you exchange the item for something that does not need to be placed into the cake at a slant. the item was clearly misrepresented!
