Hi! So I was talking to a few people on here about possibly starting a WW thread... obviously it won't be exclusive anyone can come on but I am starting tonight and there are a lot of other brides that recently started, that it might be good to have a support system where we can come on at least once a week and share our progress, etc.
We can keep everything on the same thread that way everything is easy to find and you can track your own progress and find everything easily.
Maybe once a week we can give an official 'Weigh in' (don't worry you don't need to put your actual weight, maybe just what you lost for the week).
We can also share recipes, suggestions, etc to keep each other motivated. What do you guys think?

Re: Calling Brides on Weight Watchers!
I started on Thursday and have lost 3 pounds so far. I need to try and stick with it this time. I'm looking to lose between 40-50 pounds by June 2011. I know this is definitely attainable, I just have to stick with it. I'd like to lose about 20 by this summer, when I plan on dress shopping.

You can do it!!!! I want to lose 50 lbs before my wedding. That's 2 years... so I think I can do it! More would be better! I don't have a scale so I don't know if I have lost anything yet. We shall see on Weds!
Let's go Saints!

Re: Calling Brides on Weight Watchers!
I am down for a WW motivational forum! A couple of years ago I lost 60lbs doing WW. After meeting my FH and moving in with him...I have put most of it back on I have been off and on for the last few months....but now I am back! I have been tracking again for the last two weeks! I think I am down but I have not any time to go to a meeting so I do not know.
Words of wisdom from someone who has reached goal and then went back....the meetings really do help if you have a good leader and group...I was still going for a while after I reached my goal and maintaining...once I stopped is when I started gaining but everyone could be different!
Would love some easy and healthy recipes!!!
Cheers, Jamie

Oh and for tonight...which is only an hour or so away I suppose...FH wanted to do chips and pigs in a blanket...with my coaxing we are doing 97% FF hot dogs and buns and veggies and chips (pretzel chips)...I think it was a good compromise!

Re: Calling Brides on Weight Watchers!
I have heard that those bars they sell at the meetings are good for a chocolate craving!!!
I hear you about not being able to track when you are out... it's so hard!!!! This is my first week and I really want to lose but like I said earlier I went out to dinner two times and then today was superbowl sunday!!! I definitely cheated tonight... it was so hard NOT to!!! UGHHH I just hope I didn't gain weight... tomorrow, Tues, and Weds I have to be REALLY good.
Those subpoints are good to use for when you go out.. .they estimate for you how many points something will be if you can't measure.
I really need to get a food scale! I have heard that helps a lot!!
Good job and good luck to you guys!

Aside from eating better what other exercises are you doing? I think I am going to go back to a meeting this week.

Have you been exercising at all? The group leader told us its not necessary to lose weight on WW but your pounds will come off much faster. I hate the gym but I have tried to be more active. I take the stairs instead of walk, go for more walks etc. Maybe try it for a week and see how you do!

I lose weight much faster when I excercise. I just started training for a 10k and lost 6lbs already without trying...(I'm a lifetime memeber on maintance so im not supposed to be losing). But I feel like running def. helps me lose weight.

Re: Calling Brides on Weight Watchers!
Hello!!! So today was supposed to be my first weigh in after I began last week and the meeting was cancelled due to snow!!
So it looks like I will be going to Friday's meeting... oh well!!!
How has everyones' week been?
I am all out of my extra points (used them all up out at dinner and on Superbowl Sunday) BOO!
But I am feeling much better and am not as hungry as I was in the beginning of the week!
I also tried to be more active than usual, although I could probably have exercised more!
