Re: Can a Bride wear RED?
In Asian cultures I believe it is a sign of luck & fortune. And usually white is meant for death/afterlife.So if you want wear it, it is your day, wear whatever you want!

I was wondering the same thing. What is your FH going to wear?
I think a red cloak is fine. Like many others said, in Asian cultures (and others) it's good fortune to wear red and even expected.

YUP thats it! As for what my FI is going to wear, that is still up in the air. You know how men are, they don't want to bothered. He is not wearing a tuxe though, that would just not fit in at all!

I kinda figured he wouldn't be wearing a tux - that's why I asked!

Re: Can a Bride wear RED?
If you're wearing a b;ack leather fetish outfit as a weding gown, why do you care about the red cloak> I think my family would be more concerned with me being half naked and in black leather than wearing a cloak. At least the cloak covers something. You're already breaking the rules, you might as well go all the way. Many asian brides wear red for luck and fortune and I'm seeing moe and more red infused traditional wedding gowns, so you might as well go for it. Your coice could not be less traditional if you tried, so really I think at this point, anything goes!

Re: Can a Bride wear RED?
I think she is. Look at her profile pic.I think it's your wedding and you can do whatever makes you hapy, but I can't see people having a problem with a red cloack if they don't already have a problem with the 'gown', especially if it's for a religious reason.

That's what I'm saying!
Look, whatever blows your (leather) skirt up. It's not my wedding, but why worry about catholics being agaisnt the cloak when you're gonna be 1/2 naked and in leather. it doens't add up to me... My catholic family would drop dead on the spot if I wore something like that.
My opinion, save it for the ren faire and the bedroom !

Agreed! I think I see Nipps in that picture.
