Can anyone recommend a good pot/pan set?

I have a tools of the trade set but wanted to take the opportunity to get another one (a little better) - although I have been very happy w/ the tools of the trade one. It's actually my fiance that wants a good one. I'd like one that is about $200 for a 12 piece set. I originally registered for the Circulon set but someone told me that the grooves in the bottom are kind of hard to clean. Also tell me where you got it. Thanks

You can't go wrong with Farberware. My Mother has been using hers forever. Last year one of the handels came off a saute pan. She sent it back to them and they fixed it - no problem. I love mine and its about 10 years old now. But somehow my cooking dosent taste exactly like Moms - Hmm??

Can anyone recommend a good pot/pan set?

I love to cook and have tons of pot/pan sets. I will say that Caphalon will scratch easily. I know a lot of people who have had the same problem. Faberware might not be a sexy name but my Mom still has her's from her shower over 32 years ago. My Faberware set always cleans up great, cooks great and lasts a long time. Plus it is easy to get replacement lids or other pieces. So even though a lot of people, including me, buy expensive pot/pan sets my Faberware is what I reach for first and often.
