Can I throw a bouquet and not do the garter toss?

Would this be wierd?

I hate the whole garter thing and I absolutely don't want to do it.

I agree.
In my opinion, some traditions are overrated, and its your wedding, its all about you and FH and you can choose to do or not do anything you want.

i agree, im not into it (for myself, though I love watching it at weddings) glad to know its still okay to do the bok toss

just wanted to let you know what i've seen done in lieu of the bouquet/garter toss...

the dj/band asks all married couples onto the dance floor, then he starts asking them to sit down based on how long they've been married (he'll say something like 'all couples married less than 3 hours please sit down, all couples married less than 1 year please sit down, less then 5 year, less than 10, etc).... all the way down the line until you have like one couple left who's been married for like 50 years.. then the bride gives the wife the bouquet (instead of doing the toss) and the couple gives the newlyweds their advice for how to have a long lasting marriage like theirs...

so it's kind of the reverse of the bouquet/garter toss because instead of single people, it's married couples
