So, since I'm one of the weddings thats coming soon, (58 days) I have to tell you that I'm not buying the whole 'certain percentage' thing on the No responses!!!! We have not recieved one No response! Everyday we get a handful of responses and there all yes's. We were cracking up today because some of the people who we know would not bring guests are sending the responses back with guests! Some are coming from portugal and germany....I'm having a heartattack. My parents sent there response back and answered NO (as a joke)!! We guaranteed 150 so I'm not worried about that but I just don't want it to be crowded.... We still have more to go so we shall see........

Just wondering.....I know that you should not expect everyone to come but if they are invited then why are you hoping they won't come??? I am not inviting anybody that I hope doesn't come, I am only inviting the people that i want there and the ones that I can afford, sounds like you should have cut your guest list a little more before sending out the invites JMHO

^^ Yeah but there are also people that you haven't seen in forever and aren't a part of your lives on a daily basis that you have to invite b/c your mom or FMIL wants to invite them. Some people have large extended families that they are obligated to invite. Or a single friend with a guest- some of them do not have significant others and you KNOW they will just bring someone totally random that you don't even know. Those are the ones you hope say know. The majority of us are in that situation!! You're lucky you aren't!!

I have the same fear...the room at the RH holds looks like it would hold about 150 comfortably...our guest list is at 180 (some of these invites are for parents' friends and distant relatives)...definitely not people I consider 'essential'...I'm hoping to get a few 'no' responses
