can we maybe get back to wedding planning?

is anyone NOT doing an entrance? this is my latest dilemma. I think I'm the only one in the world that doesn't want a grand entrance.

i'd rather the DJ just segue into our first dance...

We did a grand entrance but I understand how you feel

seriously i mention it to some vendors (like the florist, the dj and the video guy) and they look at me like i have ten heads

my friend didn't do it but she had a cocktail style different wedding... she didn't do any dances either (she barely even danced with her husband -weird).

Well you have to do what makes you and FH happy!

I'm scared of the entrance. We have to walk down these big stairs to get down. I am the KLUTZIEST person ever. Seriously, i fell down a flight of stairs at KOI and broke my shoe. It was during lunch time and I wasn't even drinking!!!

I totally know those steps! i'm a klutz too. my friend still talks about the time I stepped outside of Murphy's on 2nd ave and just completely wiped out on the sidewalk. hello, it was like 10 years ago [but i WAS drunk]

yeah, i don't know. it's just so not me to come into this big fanfare. I'm sure people will think it's weird if we don't do that. Plus we don't have a traditional bridal party anyway. dilemmas...

aahh.... if only FH cared enough to even have an opinion

it is absolutely your choice- if you dont want an entrance then your vendors could work with you on that......

im actually looking forward to the entrace, only bc its when we'll first be announced as husband and wife.

I also feel weird when everybody is looking at me, but since i will be walking in with FH it helps me alot and this way i dont feel like all eyes are on me, it will be on both of us, i dont know somehow it helps hahaha. Plus knowing him he'll do something funny so that will get alot of the attention so that also helps ALOT

Then look back at them like they have feet coming out of their ears....

Instead of a grand entrance, after CH, have the BP go in with everyone else and u can FH can walk in right onto the dance floor and start the first dance!

i was thinking that we could just be announced during our first dance as husband and wife... but honestly I haven't even asked FH yet - if he really wants one of course i'll do it.

It does seem like I'm the only one who doesn't want one oh well.

LOLOL Cant believe you know the exact stairs I am talking about. I had to go upstairs to my client lunch and pretend nothing happened. Meanwhile, the strap of my shoe was completely broken and my insides were RACING!!!

Did you live in the city?
Not everyone does an entrance. My friend didn't. All they did was just wave to their friends from the balcony above the reception. No announcement.

I'm just the opposite, I feel like there are very few times in my life, I will truly be the center of attention and I'm going to enjoy this one!

i wasnt going to do the grand entrance

but sometimes, i feel by trying so hard NOT to be the center of attention - you might make it worse. . .

like if we didnt do one, people would be all confused and maybe ask us about it later

i know i shouldnt have cared what other people thought BUT it would have defeated the purpose of being low key if everyone went all crazy about it

so we did the entrance it was fun, and short and over before i knew it!!!
