I can! I can go back to that exact moment in time! It was a saturday morning and I had a softball try out and I had to go to the eye doctor where I got my 'super cool' PURPLE BIFOCALS! Come on! How cool was I???!!

OMG... i was at home, and I wasnt feeling well... and we hadn't had the 'sex' talk in my family or Health class at school yet and I remember FREAKING out.... And my mom didnt want to come to the bathroom,l cause she was too tired. LOL Then she realized what I was upset about and we were both crying... And still had no idea what the heck just happened!!!!

I got mine in the 5th grade....I had just gotten home from school and went to use the bathroom. Like many of you, when I told my mom she was all excited (I didnt see the big deal) and then went and blabbed about it to EVERYONE!!!

I got mine in 8th grade math class!! And my math teacher asked if I wanted to go to the bathroom!! So I did, and It was all over my jean shorts!!! I went to the nurse and I wasn't allowed to go home because they couldn't get a hold of my parents!! I had to tie my sweatshirt around my waist!! When I told my mom she announced to my dad at the the dinner table that their baby was now a woman!!! I could have died!!

WOW I always thought I was so young but I guess not....it was the summer after 5th grade, I was 10 years old. It was the morning we were leaving for our vacation on a lake. I was kinda ready for it so I wasnt that freaked out. I was more mad about the PAIN I had and continue to have for the next 18 years!!!! However, I didnt go IN the lake that year!
Funny thing about it is my mom got hers in the summer when she was 10 too!

My mom had the 'talk' with me when I was 9. I was scared to death about the whole thing and didn't even want it (smart girl ) I was 14, it was summer, I was home. I was right. I didn't want it then and I don't want it now.

i was in 8th grade. i was hanging out with friends and when i got home i went into the BR and there it was!! i was like, 'oooh....ok' and i just found a pad and went on with my day.
when my sister came upstairs i told her then my mom. and THEN, my dad came home with roses!!!! LOL oy.
anywho...im glad we are open about it, because the first time i had a yeast infection my mom was sick and me and dad went to the drugstore to get me medication!
PS, i think the slap thing is a jewish thing...i may be wrong though.

I was in 6th grade and it was an early Sunday morning and I remember not being too happy about it, and I woke my Mom up to tell her. I remember she announced to my dad I was going thru Puberty.I wanted to die right there! My Mom also told me to be a woman is to suffer! Wow was she right!
