MY personal experience...
I met with Pedestals and booked them. I worked with Marcella who worked within our budget. I have been very happy, to date, with them!
I did not meet with Flowers by Brian, but they call me about once every 3-4 weeks and leave messages. I delete them. However about 1 month ago, they called and I was home, answered and told them I had booked another florist. Funny thing...they called AGAIN about 2 hrs ago, asking if I had booked a florist. Told him yes, and that I told them that a month ago. The guy apologized and hung up.

Was flowers by brain expensive? I hear they are the best but I dont want to spend a million dolllars on flowers

I looked at both of them. Flowers by Brian was approx. $600 more than Pedestal's. I wasn't crazy about Flowers by Brian. I met with a woman there and she didn't wow me. I was more impressed with Marcella at Pedestal's. I had a hard time deciding between Pedestal's and Flower Michele. I decided on FM because I thought John understood what I wanted better and they were the only florist I met with who would do the kissing balls for two of my FGs in fresh flowers (he called them pomanders.)

i highly recommend going to see Flower Michele. he's a vendor on here! I have only heard great things about him. Def. meet with him. He's up in huntington right across from the harbor club.

Glad you posted this thread, I started my florist search last week, and have done lots of searching and asking around...
Went to Pedestals, Flowers by Brian & Atlantic Florist....
Pedestals I was good, the guy had the gift of gab. I did alot of research on Pedestals and found they are good, just kept hearing comments about how they left things out..
I met with Brian from FBB and liked his work alot, he made me feel really comfortable and I feel like I can really count on good work with him, I think he's who we are going with b/c I really liked his work.

I have two very good friends who used Flowers by Brian. Their flowers were stunning! I plan on going this month to get prices.

I met with Pedestals, Flower Michelle and Flowers by Brian.. Loved all of them, and have heard great things about all them, but in the end, i chose Pedestals.. They gave more for my money.. Flower Michelle was 1200 more thans Pedestals and Flowers by brian was up there also.. FM me if u want more details.. good luck

i met w/Flowers by Brian and although they do have nice flowers, they were a little out of our budget.
I would definitely recommend checking out flower michele. every single centerpiece that i've seen of john's is amazing!

i met with pedestals and booked them on the spot! I have seen their work and it was gorgeous.
However, I will say that another good AND affordable vendor that i keep hearing about on these boards is National Wholesale Florist on Merrick Rd in Bellmore. Supposedly, they have great prices on great flowers. I'd suggest checking them out too if possible.

I met & booked with Robert from Pedestals! I had a general idea of what I wanted but didn't know specifics! Robert understood what I wanted & came up with a array of flowers that I could not even imagine! He is very creative & so intuative to your wants & needs!

I loved Pedastals work and booked them on the spot too. I ordered 25 centerpieces, sweetheart table arrangement and rose garland swag for our table. When I went to see my preliminary centerpiece it was gorgeous, so full and beautiful just the way I wanted it.
Fast forward to my wedding......my centerpieces were HORRIBLE. They werent full at all they looked so cheapy. My and dh table....no arrangement and no rose swag. It was like we gave them an extra $300 just for being them. I was so upset on my wedding day I couldnt even look at the flowers. I called when I returned from my honeymoon and left several messages...ha think anyone called me back, why should they they got my money and I wouldnt be a repeat customer.
I'm glad I got my bo-k's and bouts from a different florist.
