After recieving my demo from the dj, not being happy, and some drama with the company..I am cancelling my DJ!! I am very upset about it, I mean I'm happy not to deal with them anymore...but now they are trying to hose me of the deposit and if they push me I'm going to get the BBB involved!! I mean please, my man is in Iraq..and they just sent me a demo where my father could be a better DJ, I don't need the agita! I'm happy to get another one I'm just not in the mood for aggravation

Nina sorry to hear about your troubles. Did you not hear them before you booked them? Is that the demo they send to everyone?
Can you tell them they misrepresented themselves to you?
In any case, I recommend Ray from Variety. You know i'm not a DJ person, but he really impressed me at my friend's wedding.

I too had to cancel my first DJ, he gave me me the run around at first but he gave me my money back after a couple of letters and phone calls.
The first letter I made sure I outlined the fact that he has over one year to rebook the date, he should have no problems because its not last minute.

I'm soooo sorry Nina, what a bummer. But you are better off dealing with this now and suffering minor dissapointment rather than being extremely upset during your party. Entertainment is as important as the food so as for the DJ...good ridens to bad rubish!!!
You have plenty of time to find a much better replacement. Good luck, I know it will be fine

Ladies this post was from quite a while back....I have got a few FM's this morning concerning this.
Some people have asked if it was Classie Sounds because it was mentioned.....and it is not them. On the contrary, if we decide that we can't find a band....we will be going with Classie Sounds.
But it was another DJ we cancelled and we did get our deposit back..
