so i went to a bridal shop today to get the monalisa royale. i like the dress.. but i was def settling cuz im tired of looking. well i got there.. i put it on, my mom came in..and said...NOTHING.
she had a look on her like... she wasnt happy with that dress... wellllll i looked at it..and something was wayyy offf the material felt sooo diff from the other 4 stores i tried it on..and the crystals just didnt sparkle. it was weird. i guess im guna continue looking next week.. ALONE or with a friend.. def not with my mom..cuz my mom has my cuz from greece and i just cant take it with her anymore. she doesnt speak english.. she has an irritating voice...shes not all there in the head..and today she was interrupting the sales lady like 5 times.
i just cant do it. so my shopping experience with my mom is officially ruined because my cuz is staying with my mom for a MONTH
whatever... not like im going to ever find a dress. i hate this. i wish i never planned a wedding.

You are too awesome not to find a dress! Just take a break and go back to looking when you aren't so irritated. Can you wait until your cousin (and her fanny pack) leaves?
I'd at least take a week and not even LOOK at dresses... and then when you're refreshed go back out there.

Depends on the store... Wedding Salon of Manhasset told me they needed 4-5 months to order a dress. And Lillette's told me 'It'll come in three months before your wedding no matter when you order it.'
Can you leave your cousin with someone else and take your mom dress shopping? Maybe your FSIL can babysit her?
Just gotta keep on lookin till u find the one. Go alone if no one can come with. Its okay...

rk was the best experience ive had. gladys is awesome(the older lady there) i just havent heard great reviews on them.. i foudn 3 dresses i loved there.. but none of them were * the one*

I loved RK as well and MY MOM WASNT TO EXCITED ABT MY DRESS EITHER!!!! In the end its your choice and what makes you happy. Im not super in love with my dress but Im happy and comfortable with it. Now the dress I will be changing into is a bigger deal to me bcuz I will be wearing it longer and Its goin to be more of a party/club style.
try a tailor maybe they might have smth that you will like. If its custom made its goin to be exactly what you want/like...show them a pic of your favorite dress and have them build on that.

dont worry you'll find the one that you know is right for you! don't feel like you have to rush either... bc that makes it more frustrating! have you tried going to lillette's in baldwin?

awwww sweety, don't get yourself down, the dress for you is out there and you will find it!!!!!! You still have plenty of time even though your getting married in april. I was just at Kleinfelds on Saturday and there was a bride there in the fitting room and her mom was telling my mom and I that her daughter has been looking for 4 months and is getting married in February, so your still good!! Don't worry, you'll find yours soon!!

You will find one! Like you said, DO NOT settle for a dress to 'get it over with'. Truly, you could order your dress by October and it wouldn't need to be rushed.
You will be glad you waited. Trust me.

hunnie dont worry youll find something, i would go by yourself though, sometimes hearing someones opinions all the time doesnt let you see it for yourself, then call your mom back for the ones worth seeing
and def try on things you normally wouldnt, you never know
