I'm not sure how far you want to go, but the Villa Barone Hilltop Manor (my RH) was unbelievable. It's all the way in Mahopac though. There is another one in the Bronx as well. They are worth checking out
Villa Barone Manor in the Bronx, my cousin had her reception there. it was very nice & she was very happy.

Re: Can't think of any more halls to see.
You should take a look at Crestwood Manor. I don't think it was on your list of no's and it is the sister reception hall I guess you would say of Venetian Yacht Club. They just redid the entire place. I never saw it all done but we loved it there it was just too small for our wedding you should def check it out bc it should def be all done by now I bet it's beautiful and the manager is a doll!

The minimum at the vanderbilt is 100.......it can fit up to 160 max. I have my food tasting in February so I cant say I know how the food is yet but EVERYONE has raved about Lessing Caterers so Im not worried. The package I got is very reasonable and its on a Friday night......I think I heard that they quoted $120 pp for a Saturday wedding. Not sure though!
IM having 120-140! My list has gone up....it used to be 84 people (we were trying to keep it small but as you can see.....UGH). We should be fine though and have plenty of room!
If you want anymore info about it, FM me =)

Manhasset Bay Yacht Club is beautiful. Not sure if you need a member to sponsor you though. It overlooks the bay - really pretty.

Villa Barone is simply gorgeous their minimum is 125. They are located in the Throgs Neck area of the Bronx very accessible to the major highways and the area is not dangerous. The RH itself is spectacular, im just having a small wedding so i couldnt get it done there.

hmm.. i never really think of that cuz i live about 10 min from there and worked at the pathmark across the street lol. can't hurt to look i guess.
If your talking about the Sand Castle I would like to add.... you said you were in the industry so you understand what goes on in the kitchens and behind closed doors...several of my friends have worked at the SC over the years and have always said the place AND the kitchen are immaculate and the service and food is outstanding. I never thought twice about it until I got engaged and went there just to look.. I feel in love with the whole 1 wedding at a time deal, the place and the food!! They were also very good at working with our budget.

Funny,
North Ritz and VYC were our top two - And they are both so different -
Had a hard time with dates at NR but was really happy because we negotiated with VYC and now we are having a Saturday Night Wedding which was a deal breaker for us -

Ditto...same thing with their sister hall Floral Terrace where Dh and i were married. Dh's brother used to work for a company and went into the back of the majority of catering halls on LI and said they were both immaculate. I had everything i could have ever dreamed of at Floral Terrace. FM for details
