Carltun Thread

You only have a couple of weeks left! You must be so excited!

Are you having your ceremony at Carltun as well?

I'm VERY excited, but kind of freaking out a little too!! There's still so much to do.

We're not having our ceremony at the Carltun. We're having it at a church in Great Neck. I went to a wedding where the ceremony was at the Carltun, and it was beautiful!

Suebride, I just saw your wedding pics and I have YOU to thank for helping me make the FINAL decision to book the Carltun. I went to look at the Carltun on June 11 (the day of your wedding) and your setup was so beautiful that I couldnt get the Carltun out of my head ever since!

I actually even have pics that I took of your setup so I could remember what it looked like all set up for a wedding reception....

LIBride2be- did you go to see The Carltun this past Saturday around 4:30- just wondering b/c I was there doing my menu and spotted a really cute couple looking as if they were there to check it out.....was it you?

Yes! I booked with Tiffany too! I was there about 4pm on 6/11...the smell of your floral arrangements was unbelievable...my mom couldnt believe how pretty your centerpieces were. The candles hanging from the candelabra added such a romantic touch. Its just so funny how we can all cross paths like this...maybe someday a bride to be will see my wedding day setup and have an unforgettable moment where she can see herself being married there.

that is great to hear --i am so glad you thought the CP were nice! i was so nervous about them but when i saw the ballroom all set up --i couldn't believe how gorgeous they looked...
tiffany was very helpful --you won't be disappointed (one of our only complaints was regarding our cake)...let me know if you have any questions...

Nothing of any major help to anyone to report at the moment. But I'll be doing my menu on Tuesday so hopefully I'll have some fun news then.

Not Carltun related, but I'm seeing my sample CP today. I'm so excited!!!

I am excited about the new look!!! Have to go and see it!!!

I am planning to put lots of candles and flowers on the railing...you guys???

We're not sure yet. FH and I have to go over that this weekend.

As for railing decorations, we're really not doing anything. We'll be putting candles everywhere though, including the staircase.

For those who have seen the chairs... have they changed the colors? I've chosen my linens based on the colors in the old chairs. Are they radically different?

No the chairs are exactly the same colors, but since they are new the colors are brighter.
For dinner choices, I am doing the filet with a bordelaise sauce, the cornish game hen stuffed with risotto and the macademia nut encrusted salmon. It was so hard to choose because there was so many dishes I loved.

Hi- I'm doing the railing with vine and ivory floral. I was there when this was up and it looked sooooo pretty!
