Glad to see this back up. Has anyone started on their menus yet? Or given cake pictures to them yet? I am not sure when you do the cake.

So far I have only heard from Terrance, early last week. He called to make contact and ask if I had any questions. I asked him about who the new BM's were and expressed some concern. He assured me that I would be contacted soon and in the meantime could call him regarding any questions.

Anything new with you on this front?

Terance called me on Saturday too!! then I spoke to Marianne (she replaced Sheila)...she said she will be contacting me re my menu...she Said she is working on her March/April brides right now....

is anyone using the carltun recommended vendors for videography? if so, do you have quotes from marquee and jovan?

i visited creative compositions last month for photography, but i decided on len marks. also, i don't want to spend too much on videography, so creative compositions is out of my price range.

Just thought I would let all of you know I went to my tasting. The food and service was fantastic. The presentations were also great, and the portions were huge. I was very happy with it. Also, for those who have not been there in awhile the ballroom looks really good. It has been painted and the floor is refinished and very shiney. The new chairs are the same as the old, just newer and brighter. Let me know if you have any questions.

Hey Ladies - I'm also getting married at the carltun - almost done choosing my vendors and trying to get diy ideas. i feel like i am all over the place.

Hi gals,

I am seriously considering Carltun for my wedding and I was just wondering how many people you are all having and whether you think the reception room can hold between 250 and 300 comfortably.

I have been there several times to look around but have yet to see a full set up and the size of the room has me worried with the amount of people we are expecting.

We guaranteed 200 but are inviting 250+, I think the room will fit 250 comfortably, not sure about 300. What is the max they told you?

They told me it fits up to 350 but after looking at as many reception sites as I have I have learned not to take that number literally :)

You are right - don't take any halls # literally. You want to know what # would fit comfortably. You want ur guests to move around without walking into chairs and/or each other.
