Absolutely it's still good! To be clear... what I am upset about (and the Carltun knows it), is the lack of communication about what exactly the tasting would be, and most importantly, that there was nothing there for me to eat, when they knew exactly what my restrictions were and told me they would be taken care of.

Re: Carltun Thread
Hope my comments didn't get anyone upset or worried. That's not my intention at all!!! Our weddings will be terrific!
I think you are right in your comments. They were wrong in not telling you about the tasting and I am so happy for this website because I was fortunate to find out about the tasting before they called me. However, I must say that Maryann did explain to me what I should expect at the tastings because many people expect more food. I do agree there is a big lack of communication!

For the girls who have already had their wedding, can you let me know what you had for your cocktail hour? All the stations? Thanks!
If anyone did the vodka station, was it nice? Did people like it? Thanks in advance!

Re: Carltun Thread
i have a pic of our cake in my album --this was my biggest gripe with the carltun --they made me pay extra for the cake and it looked nothing like the pic i gave them --i should have trusted my gut and gone with an outside bakery!

Re: Carltun Thread
they were not as much as i thought they would be --the carltun's linens are okay --ivory lace and i think they put a solid white cloth underneath --i wanted something that would stand out a little more...plus i heard that some of theirs are in not so great shape...
the finishing touch is very reasonable in terms of $$ --i went to a place in garden city and they wanted $85/linen...i think i paid around $35/linen (actually it could be a little more --i have to check)...i also got matching napkins and had them tie them with a pretty bow...the napkins were extra...all together i don't remember how much it was --i will look at my contract tonight if you are interested...
