Hey everybody...We had our menu meeting about a week ago. Really made everything very 'real' for us. It was a lot of fun and we're very excited about the menu
We actually chose something a little different for the cake-- carrot cake with cream cheese filling. Yummy! We figured with ALL the different choices in the dessert cafe, if someone doesn't like carrot cake, there's a ton of other great dessert options.

58 days and counting! Very excited!!!

yummm.....carrot cake sounds soo good! Do you know if that is one of their options or would you have to pay extra for that?

just got back from our honeymoon and wanted to give you all a quick note about our wedding. it was great. we did have one major problem with carlye though=lightining hit a tree on the course and it stopped the air conditioning from working until about 9pm. our cocktail hour was at 7 and people were very hot. they eventually got it working and other then that we had a beautiful wedding.

we are getting rave reviews from everyone about the food the service and the views. i'll have a full review and pics soon.

OMG...no way!!!! Of all the things that you must have worried about happening at your wedding, I bet that lightening striking the golf course never crossed your mind! Wow!

Funny you should say that bc we had NO AIR for our cocktail hour... the ballroom was fine... not super cool but fine....

Otherwise... everything else was wonderful. We had a blast and our honeymoon was wonderful. They Hyatt in Maui is beautiful and the Hyatt in Kauai was truly amazing!

Daybreaks Night rocked and Duet was wonderful!

I just put down my deposit with Gary on Saturday so it is official! Can you send me some recommendations on bands with roundabout prices? Gary said that is the next step in planning... it is going to be a daytime wedding if that makes any difference.

i was wondering how you were doing Vita. i'm sorry you didn't have air either. what did they say the problem was for you?

i thought the hyatt in kauai was amazing and we stayed at the ritz carlton in kapalua but i didn't love that as much as the hyatt.

WOW! I can't believe about the lightning and the AC. I'm so sorry!!! So glad that everything else went well. I am getting SOOOOO excited. It is becoming so real after actually choosing the menu and being handed the blank seating charts (that does not look like fun...).

Can't wait to see pics from your recent weddings and HM's. Congrats again!!!!!

it's actually a wall and its right on the path to one of their courses..it was so much fun to take pics over there i recommend that spot. our thank is coming from that area too.

Taking them at the Carlyle, outside is beautiful (even in March, I checked it out this year on the 18th) and if the weather is bad, there's so many nice spots inside the Carlyle to take pics. I want to be there as soon as possible on my wedding day after the church!

I feel the same way about wanting to get to the carlyle ASAP after the church...and as much as I would like take pics at a garden, I am afraid we would cut it very close - especially since I'm getting married on a Friday night and our church is in franklin square!

Yeah, you might be cutting it close, especially for a Friday in June and LI traffic. There are so many places outside and inside, you'll have beautiful pics!
