Here is my cake with the scroll design. We had marble cake with chocolate pudding filling and from the one bite I tasted it was great!

There's the scroll design! Thanks for the pics you two.

I can't wait to actually taste all this food, I was looking over our menu again last night.

I cannot wait for your review!!!!

I should really start it now...b/c I am SUCH a procrastinator.....LOL

I cannot decide It is sooo much$$$ for 1 hour!!! But it sounds like so much fun! JXNOscar- are you doing the jazz or reggea?

Re: CARLYLE BRIDE THREAD!!!!

I am doing the jazz.. I know its expensive on TOP of everythign else, but FH and I decided we werent going to tell everyone we were doing it so that it woudl be an extra wow factor of the night, plus many people will go home so it will be core friends and family--I can finally relax there.
DO it!!!!!!! I hear both versions are great

Not us...everyone is going back to the Hilton after to hang out at the bar...can't see spending the $$ on the jazz hour after the reception alone costs so much.

Re: CARLYLE BRIDE THREAD!!!!

Does anyone know if the Carlyle has kid friendly choices for the children or do they chose from the same menu as the adults?

Re: CARLYLE BRIDE THREAD!!!!

Past Carlyle brides, how much did you tip and who?

I was thinking we needed to tip:

Banquet manager
Maitre D
Bridal Attendant
bartenders

Did you tip out the waitstaff or is that included in the 'recommended gratuity?'
I got my estimated bill (and almost fainted) and there's a recommended gratuity on there....did you guys go by that?

Re: CARLYLE BRIDE THREAD!!!!

The Bm told us that for a Friday night wedding you tip the MD $1500 - $1800. I thought that was crazy!!!! I guess that covers everyone??? Maybe the MD is supposed to distribute the $$$ I don't really trust it though.

Re: CARLYLE BRIDE THREAD!!!!

I believe the banquet manager distributed the tips? We didnt have to give seperate ones, but just a lump sum that they divided up.
but i've forgotten all that by now.. sorry!

How far in advance does the Carlyle call you to pick out your menu? My wedding is on 5/19. Should they have called me by now?
